it really is a good set... I feel bad for those of you who waited and now have to make that painful decision.... <_<

Pendulum Disc 2... Starting off a little better than Disc 1.. IMHO

A couple of years ago when I saw him with McCoy Tyner... he was extremely unimpressive... Grinned the whole time as he was thinking he was awesome... His solos were quite underwhelming.... Now that cat I just saw McCoy with this weekend (Eric Gravatt) is a very nice drummer... great cymbal work....

Initial thought.... :( I have never liked Al Foster as a drummer... (Doesn't do anything for me... - and he thinks he's great.... :o ) We'll see how the rest of the set proceeds.... :mellow:

Pendulum Select Disc 1... not sure what to expect but kinda hard to turn down a live village vanguard set!~!!

Disc 7... I really enjoyed it... minus the awful announcing/interviewing by Steve Allen... :angry: You couple that with his nonsense introducing Miles Davis on the Prestige set... YUCK! :wacko: I know he was a nice guy, funny and important bringing jazz to the public (during that era)... but blah....

Up to Disc 6.....

So what are you guys thinking about this one, now that it's in our hot little hands....? :cool: As someone who had never heard Zeitlin before... this stuff is wonderful!!!! I'm thrilled. :excited:
