  1. This is the description on Amazon U.K.:
  2. It was one album, A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren. And the group is called "Little Feat", not "Little Feet"; a small yet not insignificant difference
  3. I don't think Blue Note had to be sold to get approval for the merger (or whatever it's called), so I guess it's going with EMI to Universal.
  4. The Classics CD is available from private sellers on Amazon UK for around £14.50 / $22 / €16.80 (including tax, which will be deducted for non-EU orders) plus shipping: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0000945YL/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
  5. Thanks for the recommendation, but that won't happen anytime soon. I've got more important things to do Excellent recommendations! Another important source is Godrich & Dixon's Blues and Gospel Records 1902-1943 discography.
  6. That would be my guess too. According to my Bruyninckx they were made in 1947.
  7. My Bruyninckx doesn't list it.
  8. There's been a lot of fighting here. You didn't join until November 2012, so you missed most of it.
  9. Thanks guys, much appreciated!
  10. Might have something to do with the rights?
  11. I was. Sometimes hard to tell on the internet.
  12. Several reasons: these are CD-Rs and, as I said in my first post, I don't want a CD-R, and I'm not going to support activities such as selling unauthorized CD-Rs of copyrighted material. Do they at least clearly advertise these discs as CD-Rs? When I last ordered from them through their own website (not eBay) some years back they only made a distinction between new and used discs without going into specifics about the condition used discs were in. I only ordered new DIW discs from them (with complete satisfaction). See post #7 in the Movie Gold thread:

  14. Yep, I know. He has supplied me with a few rare CDs, but his prices are indeed pretty steep.
  15. Not long ago a copy went on eBay for a reasonable amount, with only 1 bidder. Missed out on that one due to an error on my part.
  16. Still looking for the Bluiett
  17. I'm looking for this CD in excellent or better condition (NO CD-R): New York Art Quartet - Mohawk - Fontana (Japan) PHCE 1003 PayPal is my only payment option. Please PM me if you're selling one or know where I can get one. Thanks.
  18. In that case I don't expect to get a reply from them... Charging $15 - $16 for bootlegs is a disgrace in my view - but I'm probably being naive...
  19. I didn't see that on their Movie Gold page. Did you get a CD-R, maybe taken from a Japanese CD? Or are these perhaps needle-drops, i.e. taken from vinyl? If you click on the individual titles in the OP's link, "[CD-R]" is the first thing you see in the description. Ah, I see. Thanks.
  20. I've asked DMG about Movie Gold. Will post here when they reply - if I get a reply. I didn't see that on their Movie Gold page. Did you get a CD-R, maybe taken from a Japanese CD? Or are these perhaps needle-drops, i.e. taken from vinyl?
  21. Seems to be a European label. I wonder if it's legit.
  22. That album (Out of the Storm) sounds weird to me, with the drums too much in the foreground. The mix spoils it for me and so do the tuned drums.
