Realgone put out the twofer, right? We could start with them. If they find it and it is releasable and Denardo says yes, and it is long enough, tack on the single and you have a great CD. Maybe there is more in the vaults. Is Crisis the full concert? Jazzdisco.org does not show more songs. But what is the Stating The Case from early 1970s? Live or studio? Someone put it out. Has anyone heard it?

The issue was whether that was investigated at the time of the release. They also left off the Man on the Moon single... That's why I said 'could have been'. They were on a twofer CD 2-3 years ago. The audience can be heard on Ornette at 12.

So this Sun Suite could have been on the Ornette at 12/Crisis CD? That sucks.

A statement that he left UCLA two years ago was on Facebook, but it does not seem to be true. All of this is very odd.

The two that I don't have that I would consider as a Hutcherson and Grant Green completist are Natural Illusions and the Dodo Greene. The former has a really bad reputation. Not sure about the Dodo. Comments?

So glad to see what kind of wonderful music can slip out from time to time from the project I worked on for years at the Library of Congress! Paul came to present a concert of Tadd's music at the Smithsonian two years ago for the Centennial as part of the Take 5 series I help organize. So glad my good friend Danielle Wertz was part of that concert when she was still in DC, she is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. She moved to the West Coast, resulting in her being available to be on this CD as well. Can't wait to hear it! Bertrand.

I think the interest in the Universe project has died. That ship has sailed. I tried.

Update #1: There is a kickstarter out there for the Roney CD and a documentary about the whole project. Update #2: I am wiser now, and have spent a lot of time looking into the Left Bank Jazz Society. I very much doubt the last Coltrane concert was recorded, but the fact that a tape has yet to surface is not proof. Proof would be a video of Coltrane frisking every single audience member for a secret recording. That has yet to surface. Some accounts claim a recording was attempted, but the machine broke...

Ah, so there is no one-CD vs. Two-CD option. It is just the L.P. that is shorter.

So the CD may be coming out this year. There is a kickstarter out there, which may be for a documentary or both the CD and the documentary. Further research is needed.
