I wonder if the reason for many people’s votes for Larry Young has to do more with some kind of Coltrane-connection than anything else. What I mean is, if it weren’t for Larry Young, they might not listen to ANY jazz organ; but they’ll listen to Larry Young because they’ve been told of his Coltrane-influence in his playing. (Having Elvin Jones on your records doesn’t hurt, either!)

When I load the archive to listen to on my computer, the sound level is very low. No matter what I do to bring the volume level up, it also brings every OTHER "wave" sound-level on my computer up with it. You can imagine how loud it gets when I exit a program without saving! Any suggestions out there?
