  1. Jazz On Jazz (Eu.) CD244555 — Wes Montgomery & The Wynton Kelly Trio: The Unissued 1965 Half Note Broadcasts (2013) Toko (Jpn.) CDWM 94-12 — Wes Montgomery: Smokin' Guitar Once more: Look at Noal Cohen's discography I linked above. He did excellent work.
  2. Signature Tautavel Côtes du Roussillon Villages AOP - 2018
  3. When you look at Noal Cohen's disco you will find two previous issues, one European, one Japanese, both probably very hard to find. I never heard them.
  4. Totally different recordings. The tracks on Resonance come from radio broadcasts. Look at the recording dates and track lists you can find here and check with Noal Cohen's great Wes Montgomery discography.
  5. I would consider buying the set if it presented the tracks in live playing order, but it does not, so iI'll pass. Simple and accurate solution. I have an LP with some of the February 1965 tracks from the Half Note with a different rhythm section.. Playing is great, but audio is not.
  6. You all know I will get me a copy. These are some of the best live bands Tjader had. Tjader was travelling all over the USA all the time, but live recordings are surprisingly rare, official or private.
  7. Besides that, there are excellent vibes players in Austria. Try to catch a gig by Flip Philipp.
  8. IMHO Tjader in the 1950's had the most beautiful vibes sound on the scene and was the best ballad player.
  9. R.I.P. I always thought he was the more interesting and attractive guy compared to Robert Vaughn, but a character of Russian descent probably couldn't be the main figure.
  10. I think not getting in the way of the others and play minimalistic is perfect for the "benefit of the band", as Baby Dodds called it. Looks like you know what to play not. "The definitive 20th century instrument" - now that's a statement! Please tape the gig and send me a copy. I am seriously curious.
