  8. Back to topic: The one recording of the Beethoven Violin Concerto I love the most is this one, which can be had for $ 8.19 at CD Universe:
  9. If it's the other disc on Opus 111 you're talking about, yes. He's good and brings a certain "Polish" feeling to the music. But the greatest Chopin solo piano disc I have is this one:

  17. I wonder what they based their choices on ..... The last 2 discs on the list are Gil Evans Verve titles, btw. Maybe some more non-Fantasy titles among them, like the Branford Marsalis - not your fault, if the search for "Concord" yielded these results. One thing is for sure: except for the RVG series and the Keepnews Collection, these are plain re-pressings of the old remasters.
  18. This post offers some explanation.
  19. I gave mine away but made me a copy first .....
  20. Seems that series name now includes any reissue from the Universal jazz catalogue.
  21. I'd support a blues forum, too - miscellaneous music is a pretty wide term. A Blues Forum would make it much easier to find your valued recommendations, btw .....
  22. Now how is that A.K. Salim track? The others from that session are still unreleased ...
  23. Maybe the person that runs the shop has no idea at all about shoes .....
  24. Browse the sexiest album covers thread and you'll find one or the other good looking classical lady ...
