  5. Yes, great deal! Those titles in the VICJ-23*** series were running 2,300 yen when released back in the early 90's. I've been on a vocalist kick lately so I'm definitely in for that Bev Kelly 'In Person'....... ....Cracklin & Bley as well!!

  9. Day after Thanksgiving I knocked a full (well, minus a glass) magnum of red off the counter and it smashed on the tile floor. Actually, now that I think about it....that tile floor has started to look and feel a bit perkier the past couple of days.
  10. Florida Deputies Pull Naked Man From Alligator's Jaws LAKELAND, Fla. (Nov. 30) - Deputies pulled a naked man from the jaws of a nearly 12-foot-long alligator that nearly severed the victim's arm, the sheriff's office said. Four deputies waded through thick mud about 20 feet into Lake Parker to find Adrian Apgar, 45, around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, the sheriff's office said. They were responding to multiple reports about a man screaming for help. Deputy Billy Osborne said he pulled Apgar's arms while the gator gripped the man's lower half and eventually helped pull Apgar free. The deputies said they couldn't shoot the animal because it was too dark and they might have hit the victim. It was not clear why Apgar was in the water at such an early hour. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Apgar told deputies he had been smoking crack. Apgar was taken to the hospital in critical condition with an apparent broken right arm, leg injuries and his left arm hanging by a tendon. Hospital officials did not immediately release information about his condition. The deputies were not injured. Fish and Wildlife trappers said they believe they caught the alligator near the site of the attack later Wednesday, although they said they couldn't be sure it was the same animal. 11-30-06 02:53 EST

  12. From B&N today regarding the Morgan book: We regret to inform you that our supplier has changed the release date on the pre-ordered merchandise listed below.
  13. Judy Garland by 3 days.
  14. Oh, brother...now PR man Rubenstein has him kissing that horrible race-baiting worm Sharpton's ring?? If Richards had some self-respect left he'd say: 'look, I apologized once....but I'm sayin' NFW to that suggestion of yours, Ruby! I'll work at Best Buy for the rest of my life before kissing his rump.'
  15. B&N is saying Nov 28th which makes it a strong candidate for inclusion on the list ('help-out-your-favorite-mother-in-law-by-giving-her-one-easy-to-locate-holiday-suggestion'). Who knows though... maybe B&N is full of it?
  16. Anyone see the recent announcement by Broadcom about the new chipset replacement that combines both Blu-Ray and HD DVD optical disc formats into an integrated, single chip design? How far off then is a universal player w/Blu-Ray, HD DVD, SACD, DVD-A? We're seriously considering upgrading the old tube and going Pioneer Plasma 50' or so but it doesn't seem to make sense to drop a dime on either player yet....just wait it out for a universal player, right? I'm interested to know what others here are doing (planning to do?) on the DVD front?
  17. Korean reissue?? ...is this legit?
  18. From an AOL story: "Rodriguez had been waiting outside the New York Circuit City store since Sunday for the midnight launch event, and he was the first to walk away with the PS3 as people still standing in line outside the store cheered." I can't even think of what it would take for me to hang outside of a store for an 3 full days? I suppose that two first class Lufthansa tickets to Berlin and a two week comped stay at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski followed by a Swiss Air flight down to Lausanne and a week or two at the Hotel Beau-Rivage on Lake Geneva might be a start.....but?
  19. This is an excellent example of an OMFG! Updated: 01:06 PM EST Simpson to Discuss How He'd Have Killed Ex-Wife By EDWARD WYATT, The New York Times LOS ANGELES (Nov. 14) - O. J.
