  1. The Brass Company - Colors [Strata East, 1975]
  2. Just heard that The Cookers played in town last night and I didn't know about it!
  3. But it's finally available on cassette...
  4. I don't know that one, should I investigate?
  5. Nathan Davis with George Arvanitas Trio - The ORTF Recordings 1966-67 [Sam Records, 2021 RE]
  6. Just wondering whether anyone US based could help me out buying from a US Discogs seller who doesn't ship to UK. I'm looking for someone happy to purchase 2 LPs on my behalf and then ship on to me. I'll cover all costs in advance through PayPal and I'm not in any great hurry for the onward shipping, just the next time you're at the post office. please PM
  7. This was a fantastic listen, thanks for putting it together. I know all the albums featured really well but the added context giving by you and Mary Stryker was very enlightening.
  8. Kahil El 'Zabar Quartet - A Time For Healing [Spiritmuse Records, UK 2022] looking forward to seeing them at Ronnie's next month
  9. A couple of new arrivals The Amram-Barrow Quartet - The Eastern Scene [Brunswick, UK 1958] Miles Davis - Blue Moods [Vocalion, UK 1964 RE]
  10. That's always worth a listen. I wish Adasiewicsz would re-emerge from what's quite a long quiet spell now
  11. Yeah, terrific album. One of the best I bought last year, easily
  12. Yep, mine's noisy enough too
  13. Is the Tapscott readily available? I'm struggling to track it down apart from a YT post
  14. Covid cases amongst clients, staff and volunteers the highest it's been at my work at the moment. Marked increase in the last month or so. My contact is luckily almost entirely phone based.
  15. Thanks. I must find it again
  16. For some reason that was amongst the first Jazz LPs I bought, probably about the time it was released. I must have read a review or liked the cover because it doesn't fit with the others I was buying at the time. I think I still have it somewhere. How's it sound?
  17. Horace Tapscott - Tapscott + Winds [Nimbus West, 2022]
  18. She just raises eyebrows heavenward and says "not another LP, where's the space for that" Thanks my inclination is for the OG as I find some PP remasters a bit hot
  19. Absolutely. I love that I can be blissfully unaware of something that's as good as the Connors and then be enlightened by your and other's enthusiasm. All on a dull London Tuesday afternoon too! The variety of knowledge here is such an inspiration to learn, and spend, more. But my bank manager would like a word with you
  20. And another one I didn't know about. Now streaming it and thinking it might have to be a purchase. Been over to Discohgs and there's a copy in UK... With the Zoller, that's two today @HutchFan How's the 1974 issue sound? It's half the price of the Pure Pleasure reissue
  21. That looks interesting. I have some earlier Zoller but never followed up on them despite rating them
