  1. You need a bucket Joe. Once I put a bucket on...it all became clear to me.
  2. I once did an ad hoc gig under the name of Johnny Large and The Johnsons. John Large is a drummer from the west side of Michigan and it is his real name. The rest of us however, weren't really Johnsons. Well maybe we were... When I was a student at Iowa I had a poet friend named George Lonesome. He loved it when his name was called alphabetically as Lonesome, George. A poet at Iowa....named George Lonesome??? That is too cool. I bet he scored big time with the ladies in the writing program. I once knew a kid with the last name David. Guess what his first name was. Yup, "David". David David That seems cruel. But it was the 60's.
  3. I would like to hear Black Sabbath tunes! But that is just me.... But seriously, sounds like a very cool project. Play what you love...love what you play. Can't wait to hear the record!!

  5. Later it was Blind One-Eyed Willie
  6. Oh wait...I am not coming down...ok... Randy handle my light work! You know I love ya Ron! g
  7. Oh nice, you can practice falling down right now, Ron... I'll see you in a few months.
  8. That was my porn handle back in the day.
  9. Should be a fun double bill. If you live anywhere near, please come on out. More info may be had on the schedule page here. g
  10. As a shrink...you should see it in the "flying V" as well. yeah, but i was a guitar player way before i became a shrink. i even played a flying v for a short while. damn, they're heavy! I don't think my back could take a Les Paul or a Flying V. The original Flying Vs were made of korina, a very lightweight wood - you'd almost swear it was balsa wood, it's that light. I got to play one once in the late 70s at a music store I used to hang out at - IIRC, it was for sale for $4500, a lot of money back then. Judging from this site, however, they've appreciated a bit since then. I saw one at Elderly Instrument for well over 100,000 just a few years back. Amazing. And that site says they were initially considered a flop.
  11. Right when I thought the puns were exhausted! Robert does a 360 slam dunk!!

  13. SS1 needs some porn.... They make porn dvds?
  14. As a shrink...you should see it in the "flying V" as well. I just changed the link above as well... wonder why it changed. g
  15. That's a cool looking club!
  16. The correct link for now
  17. Man I love Chicago!! I sure wish I were taggin' along. Oh well... kick some butt fellas!!!!
  18. Even if the people dancing look like this? I wonder if Jim should start dressing like that????
  19. and get laid....maybe. but then you have to listen to their bad poetry afterwards yeah, but maybe you'd get laid. hasn't worked for me, but you never know. David - you just have to adjust your marketing angle for these circumstances. Not: "as beautiful as a crescent of a new moon on a cloudless spring evening (2004) for string quartet" But: "as beautiful as a crescent of a new moon on a cloudless spring evening (2004) for hemp string quartet"
  20. One kid was doing the hippy dance with some serious skill...and he yelled at the band, between songs... "do something in seven!!" Then he was all over the place.
  21. anything???? :rsmile: Don't assume that "twirlygirly" is that tall, pretty blond that was dancing all night long. Could be that big beefy guy that was at the bar towards the end of the night. The one with gray hair?? He was hot!!! lol Oh wait, that was me...ahem... So, Twirly, I do have a VCR tape of the fellas appearance on Fox 2 News from yesterday morning.
  22. Let me get this straight ... you're coming to the band's board to ask for a copy of a show? Their next project is going to be a concert CD. What say you wait until you can pay for the music? The fellas of organissimo actually do allow taping and sharing of shows. But, you are right, some support in the form of buying a live disc would also be cool. Twirly, I believe the fellas may have a show coming up in November in G.R. though not absolutely sure if the venue allows taping. Sign up for the organissimo mailing list, and Jim will let you know what cool gigs are coming up in G.R.. I was at Founder's. I can relate to your excitement! Lots of cool dancing and head bobbin' goin on. Great music and great people. Wish I had a recording of the show too.
  23. CDBaby ships quick. I've purchased a lot of stuff from them. g
  24. I don't think anyone was taping... though in retrospect I probably should have... <runs and hides>
