  1. Oh man, hook, line, and stinker... again I have no idea what I am saying...
  2. Before that the sang into coconuts....I have no idea what I am saying... you're saying they put the lime in the coconut and drank it all up, they put the lime in coconut, they called the doctor, woke him up...
  3. Wonder if it is too late to cancel those plane tickets.
  4. Actually, if I play, it will probably be Sunday w/ Gerald Wilson. Or so I've been told. Well, if it is after RD plays that is all the better!
  5. And Root Doctor will be warming up the stage for Otis Clay on Sunday. Last year we shared the bill and stage with James Cotton and Taj Mahal...but had to run out of town to hit another gig. This year, I get to stay and check out all the stages!! And I am going to go see Joe play on Monday.
  6. I have a feeling Chuck wants to...
  7. Does that vintage amp have three or two prongs? If only two, I would take it to a tech and have that baby grounded. Ungrounded amps can kill.
  8. Here is another Root Doctor performance clip.
  9. And Dick Dale was...... What was the "talent" he had to offer? I'm really tired of stupid people crying about stupid mistakes. The entire record company/"artist" paradigm is over already. Gotta find new devils. Chuck, here's your chance to see Dick Dale! Tuesday May 15th 60's guitar legend DICK DALEwith special guest: Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys $20 ***Early show*** Doors at 7pm The Ground Sphere Rhythm Cafe (now serving beer and wine!) 1608 Lincoln Rd Allegan, MI 49010 www.groundsphere.us (269) 686-2150 That is a pretty nice lookin venue. They called for organissimo when they just opened, but the budget wasn't quite there yet...hmmmmm OK, Root Doctor is now sharing a bill with Duke Robillard there. Yeah, this is how the business works.

  12. That would be the previous wimpy guitarist. I picked it up from that end by myself many a times. Just had to make sure my honor was in tact.
  13. there's a joke in that phrase...I just don't know what it is. something unclean.... We got a lot of airplay in Australia last year. I just found out that Root means something dirty in Australia. Sweet. lol
  14. Lookin' sweet... The myspace site would look nice with some nice graphics.. Something Like This?

I had that squished box looking one, but in poopy chocolate brown. I see that are not reissuing that color. lol I love these things for fingerstyle stuff. The lipstick tube pickups give them a nice glassy tone.
  16. Maybe Clem can answer that. He was talking about 60's garage rock in another thread. Tremolo pickin' like a mofo! Yeah, I had that "Misirlou" on Dick Dale's LP "Surfer's choice" back in the early '60s. But really, that was about the only track that truly HAD something. I never knew he tuned the guitar upside-down. MG I believe he also played and continues to use very heavy gauge strings as well. Honestly, he is quite good at that technique. Everybody does something best at some point, and his right hand technique has likely inspired thousands upon thousands of guitarists. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan per se, but I do believe he made a contribution of substance to music.
