Sharp as ever Brownie . I actually missed the Weinstock connection. But to the three you mention, let me add that both are Pestige dates, and that both have liner notes by Ira Gitler. So, 5 points of similarity (so far). In addition, they were recorded within about 8 months of each other, the Melle in August 1956, and the McLean in Feb. 1957. plus, both Mellé and McLean start with the letter M both from the "M" section, I presume. Never underestimate the obvious dear Watson!

This one looks like a nugget ... Was it ever available as tangible product? yes. shiny and black, biggish, with orange circle pasted onto it, and with a hole in the centre. very nice quartet album with some "out" playing. Yusef Lateef's Impulse! output needs a Mosaic box.

it is not part of the regular series and was released later on. Maybe the 2 disk digipac is more expensive than 2 regular digipacs?

Hey where'd you get the Slimer jpg? And what's it mean? (I'm curious because I was one of the producers of the Ghosbusters movies and tv show.) it means someone was advised to slime up to his boss. big time too, but don't we all go there? (actually, I don't. That was just out of compassion or whatever) anyhow, found the jpg through google and I am glad we have *real* nutcases on board who worked on films like Ghostbusters
