I just received a recent order from yourmusic, one disc of which is Jason Moran's latest. The packaging has the typical BMG marking on the back, but the disc itself is labeled as a promo Anybody else order this title from yourmusic/BMG, and if so, have the same experience? I guess for one of my final $4.99 selections, I don't care too much, just thought it was a little odd...

Spurs up 2-0 over the Sonics. Sonics don't appear to have many other options other than Ray Allen.

Galaga! I loved this game, spent WAY too many quarters & hours playing it. You can get Galaga (along with Ms. Pac Man, Xevious, Pole Position, and Mappy) in this Ms. Pac Man game machine that plugs directly into you TV, and only costs about $15-20. My daughter "owns" it.

Personally, I'll wait until the remastered Fridge Pack with bonus, previously unreleased cans comes out.

You guys gripe, but publicized or not, at least you have jazz in your cities. I'd love to be able to bitch about missing a show here. -
Here's the code for the Free Shipping (with orders of 5 or more discs), and unlimited $5.99 CDs: D5STC6 Great time for box set purchases! I just ordered the following: Charlie Parker - Complete Verve (3 cds) $27.99 Oscar Peterson - Live at Blue Note (4 cds) $15.99 Bjork - Family Tree (6 cds) $15.99 Leonard Bernstein - Beethoven, the 9 Symphonies (5 cds) $21.99 Vladimir Horowitz - Complete Recordings on DG (6 cds) $19.99 Total cost for these was $110.36, which includes tax. That works out to $4.59 per disc, delivered. Of these, the Parker box is the only one that's not relatively inexpensive. But the others were all great prices, and smoothed out the cost of the Parker enough to be easily worth it.

Your Internet Connection/ Provider
Aggie87 replied to Soulstation1's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I'm using cable. I have Time-Warner's "Roadrunner" service, which is quick, but unfortunately I think they're a little on the expensive side for home use. The other cable provider here in town (Grande) offers the same service & speed, but is less expensive. Unfortunately they also don't service my apartment complex, so I'm stuck with Roadrunner. Definitely can't complain about the speed, though! I had a paradigm shift when I returned to Texas a while ago, and no longer have a home telephone (only use a cell phone). One less bill to worry about, for a service that I no longer need. Because of that DSL is not even something I'd consider anyway. -

Wild Spurs/Nuggets OT game last night! How many fouls were called in that one? Seemed like the game was never gonna end, and then goes into overtime to boot. Nuggets have a huge uphill battle to fight now, if they want to stay in this series. I thought the last foul called on Duncan was bad. Appeared like he never even touched 'Melo, and yet was out of the game. Lucky for the Spurs that bad call didn't cost them the game. And the Nuggets are making Manu Ginobili out to be a bad guy when he really isn't. He's aggressive and plays hard, and has been taking a beating by their defense too. I don't understand why he's gettin' booed like that.

Spurs had a poor 3rd Quarter, and Duncan shot terribly the whole game. But Ginobili played a great game, and Horry popped some key 3s, to take Game 3. Wonder if Carmelo will get a suspension for Game 4 for the flagrant foul on Ginobili at the end?

That happened to me with an obscure cd from a guy named Mark Bingham, titled "I Passed for Human". I bought it through half.com for cheap. Same deal - the disc was printed correctly, but the music was some really cheezy late-80's rap-lite. The seller agreed to refund my $, so no biggie, but I was also disappointed.

OOP Hat Art and many other discs on eBay
Aggie87 replied to jon abbey's topic in Offering and Looking For...
I've purchased a few discs from Jon too. Wanted to step in and say it was one of the easiest buying experiences I've had online. I'm enjoying the discs I bought, and understand him wanting to sell them through Ebay. It's his choice, not ours. -
Spurs looked (and played) much better tonight. I am starting to like Nazr Muhammed alot, I think he's a good complement to Duncan. And they were knocking down quite a few 3's tonight too!

I would never have guessed Corpus Christi would be up there (or Laredo or El Paso for that matter)! My guess is the antidepressant sales aren't there because folks who may use them pop across the border to purchase them much more cheaply. This is speculation on my part, at least partially, but alot of folks make the drive from this area down to Mexico to purchase other drugs, so it would stand to reason. On the other hand, we're on the coast, it's usually bright and sunny and breezy, and the air is mostly clean, despite the presence of refineries. That's not so bad either I guess! I'd rather live here than either Laredo or El Paso, given the choice.

bump up... Bireli's on a U.S. tour right now, with his Gypsy Project, and will be playing in Austin tomorrow night. If I had caught this sooner, I'd have been in the front row. He's playing at the Hogg Memorial Auditorium at U.T. If anyone's in the area, I think it would be worth the ticket price to check him out.
