  1. Happy Birthday, Matthew - hope all is well with you!
  2. Wishing you the best for the coming year, David!
  3. What he's asking for is a way to access this board from his phone (I think). I am not sure your response relates to that (?). Wanting to stay connected to a jazz bulletin board ain't a bad thing. Or are you complaining that people shouldn't have cell phones?
  4. Happy Birthday!!
  5. I would buy the cd, but not likely MP3's. I guess with that said, I wouldn't want you with hundreds of extra cds sitting around collecting dust, either. I'm on board with the limited CD run option, as perhaps your best choice to satisfy the cd collectors here on the board, as well as for some to sell at gigs. I'm open minded/eared, and look forward to this album, but it won't be the same without Joe.
  6. Hats off to the Pats for the comeback win. Cowboys defense played a great game against Brady & Co, until the last drive of the game. Cowboys look like they're finally getting healthy. May be a force at some point. They don't seem to have much of a running game though, so the WR/TEs are going to have to stay healthy and carry the offense.
  7. Happy Birthday, Rod!
  8. I think it's all out of whack as well, dollar-wise. I grumble alot when these guys gets millions of dollars and then decide they are worth more, so don't honor their own contracts that they sign and agree to. But is it any different than the best (in this comparison that probably means most popular) musicians making multi-million dollars? The Beyonces, Lady Gagas, U2s, Kanyes, Justin Biebers, etc. I don't think either "earn" their money. Movie stars either, for that matter. But they all work in the entertainment industry, which involves massive amounts of fan money, which translates into unreal salaries.
  9. Happy Birthday, Ron!
  10. Yeah, he has played with them on a number of tours, similar to McCaughey. He was also on a few of the Minus 5 albums with Buck & McCaughey.
  11. Agree about Mills - I met him and Ken Stringfellow when Ken was a sideman. Both cool guys.
  12. Are you sure that was a chick?
  13. I got into them with Reckoning. I was living in Germany at the time, so missed Chronic Town and Murmur, but the album cover for Reckoning caught my eye on the "new release" rack at a local record shop. Bought it out of curiosity as much as anything, and got hooked. Dug 'em for the most part up through Up.
  14. I doubt black people care too much about REM either.
  15. Awesome gif. Reminds me of my last cat, Mr. P. C. Good name - looks like this one could play arco quite nicely as well!
  16. Very welcome! There are a few Buy-It-Nows for upwards of $40, so I'd imagine once the magazine stops selling it themselves, it will go up even higher. $14.00 is a good deal!
  17. For anyone interested, Opeth released an exclusive live album with the German "Rock Hard" magazine. It's got the following track list: The Devil`s Orchard (Heritage) Heir Apparent (Watershed) Ghost Of Perdition (Ghost Reveries) The Leper Affinity (Blackwater Park) Hessian Peel (Watershed) Deliverance (Deliverance) I believe the first track is the studio version of "Devil's Orchard", but the rest is live. Anyway, Rock Hard magazine has this available on Ebay currently, for non-German folks who can't get it otherwise. The price is Euro 6.90 + Euro 3.00 for shipping to the U.S. That works out to around $14.00. Ebay Link
  18. Boot the one with all the points!
  19. No biggie, Mike. (Van B is up there too) I'm sure there will come a time when it happens to the rest of us, and we need help.
  20. Bush was never cut out to be a feature back in the first place.
  21. He may suck, but not playing with Crabtree, and then Edwards getting hurt early made a difference. Plus, playing behind an O-Line that allowed 6 sacks doesn't give him much time to get rid of the ball either. I am not sure it was entirely Smith's fault tonight. On the other side, it was an impressive display by Romo, coming back from a broken rib to lead the Cowboys back to a tie in regulation and a win in OT. Cowboys had Dez Bryant out with injuries, and Felix Jones suffered a separated shoulder but played through it. Plus Miles Austin reinjured his hamstring and played through it, and Witten injured his ribs as well. Plus a couple of missing O-Line guys. Plus 2 of their top 3 cornerbacks missing on defense. All in all the Cowboys played a great game.
  22. And the Van Basten II imposter as well.
  23. And once again you've chosen to interject your inappropriate Nazi "humor", adding nothing to the thread or the topic of Kyo's music festival he's obviously worked hard to put together. I'm guessing Kyo doesn't appreciate it, or probably many of our board members, European and otherwise.
  24. Interesting list from SW. And from the journalists. I'm tired of "Trains" though, it's pleasant but not much more, for me.
