  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. I'm confused - does that have anything to do with Sandusky?
  4. Got one last week for $89!
  5. Wishing you the best for the coming year, John.
  6. Happy BirthDay Brooks - I appreCiate all of the Knowledge you Have brought ovEr the yeArs to this boarD, and miss the good ol' live chat days!
  7. I'm ok with giving SS1 credit for his picks. I know there are times when we're out of pocket, especially during holidays. If someone is consistently forgetting to put their picks in, that's different. Not fair to the group if someone can't get their picks in on time, then continues to say they picked 'em all correctly, after the fact.
  8. So - does a ball that goes exactly over the top of a goal post count as a FG or not? Half the ball has passed over the crossbar, and half hasn't. In other words, did Oklahoma State get robbed yesterday or was that a good call?
  9. Does that mean if any part of the ball passes inside the imaginary goal post, then it's a FG? (just like if any part of the ball passes over the imaginary plane of the goal line it's a td) Because I think at least part of the ball passed inside the imaginary goal post. Or does that mean that theoretically the ball would have hit the imaginary goal post, and therefore bounced out and it's no FG?
  10. Bama and Oregon both! That FG looked pretty good to me, but I wasn't standing right under the goal post like the guy who gets paid to make that call. Rough day for OSU, no doubt.
  11. Iowa State just intercepted Weeden in the 2nd OT! Now they just scored, and won the game!! Whoa!!
  12. Oklahoma State playing Iowa State tonight, and they're going into overtime. If ISU somehow pulls off this upset, who ends up #2 in the BCS rankings (with inside track to national championship game)?
  13. That's an interesting lineup. Have you seen them?
  14. Not much action on this corner in a long time! Anybody check out the newest live release, Medeski Scofield Martin Wood's "In Case the World Changes Its Mind"? Double disc set that's just $10 at Amazon right now. Covers tracks from both A Go Go and Out Louder. I haven't nabbed it yet, but plan to.
  15. How can anyone prove/disprove that the person who comes forward now is the same person that was allegedly raped in 2002? If he was 10-12 then, he'd be 19-21 now. Difficult to tell if it's the same person - the only witness was McQueary, and he presumably hasn't seen the victim since 2002. Sandusky's lawyer could pay and trot any 20 year old out and have that person say Sandusky never raped him. Unless the state has already interviewed the actual victim, and can confirm it is the same person (?).
  16. Just listened to mine today - this cd rocks - well worth what Skid's asking.
  17. Heard a little bit about this today - the talking heads were saying that the bail should have been set at at least $500K, and he should have been required to wear an ankle monitor. Yet this particular judge set bail at $100K without explanation, and no monitoring. No comments from the judge, either. How could she *not* recuse herself from anything having to do with Sandusky, being a volunteer for his organization?? What the hell.
  18. I saw this in a local indie store (the only local indie store left) this weekend too, but wasn't sure what it was. I wasn't even aware of it. Any good?
  19. Interesting info regarding McQueary, from SI.com: If this is true, my regard for him has gone up a little bit - though it still baffles me as to why not a single person - McQueary included - went to the police, ever.
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. He *didn't* wait ten years. He promptly reported it to his boss, Joe Paterno. That is exactly what you said earlier in this thread that employees are supposed to do - use the chain of command, not go to the police. You're not being consistent here.
  22. I haven't reached a conclusion on this album either way. I'm currently listening to the 3rd disc in the deluxe package - interesting. I think Wilson's work with the King Crimson reissues has obviously touched him, and contributed to the Weather Report vibe that exists on some of this. I'm not sure that's his forte, but then he's always been sort of a consumer of other sounds that filter their way into his music. As good as the music is, generally, I could see an argument that Porcupine Tree's last few albums haven't really carved much new ground, either. Though he has advanced every couple of releases in the past, maybe what comes next will be that next step.
  23. Happy early Birthday, Rolf! Gonna try a Santo in your honor tonight. Glad to see you 'round these parts.
