  1. Terrible call on the home run by Cano! That was fan interference all the way. If the Yankees end up winning by 1 run, I think the Rangers are going to have a legitimate gripe tonight.
  2. It's entirely possible that the Texans who were there rooting for the Rangers were also the ones chanting Cowboys Suck!
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. anyone else share my enthusiasm? If you like that one check out Sky Moves Sideways or the 40 minute Moonloop! I think you'll dig both. No spoken word narrative stuff like Voyage 34 though.
  5. Oh also - SW has three new acoustic/unplugged tracks available for free at Soundcloud - Time Flies, Trains, and I Drive The Hearse! Performed by SW and John Wesley. Here
  6. PT played the Royal Albert Hall last night, and it appears to have been the same setlist as Radio City Music Hall, with the exception that they played "Trains" after "Arriving Somewhere" at the end of the show. I'm hopeful of a live CD recording of one/both of these shows at some point. The shows weren't recorded for DVD.
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Got to see our own Soul Stream last night in Austin, in an organ trio alongside Jimmie Vaughan! Mike, it was great to finally meet you! The set we caught was fantastic.
  9. All the best for the coming year, Tom!
  10. It's an opiate for the masses.
  11. If I didn't already have this I'd be all over it! Great price @ less than $5 per disc!
  12. Happy Birthday!

  15. All the best, Rod!
  16. Some cool pics from the Radio City show at Studio M Live's website... Interesting to see them set up for an acoustic set:
  17. Heads-up for any NYC area Fripp fans - from DGM live: Robert Fripp will be soundscaping in New York's World Financial Centre's Winter Garden in December. The concerts take place on Friday December 3rd at 12.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. and Saturday 4th December at 12.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
  18. I saw him with the SF Jazz Collective a couple of years ago. That lineup was comprised of Bobby Hutcherson, Dave Douglas, Joshua Redman, Renee Rosnes, Eric Harland, Andre Heyward, and Matt Penman. Zenon more than held his own on the front line with Douglas and Redman (in fact Redman was probably the least interesting soloist that night, I thought, despite his being the artistic director). Zenon's still in the SF Jazz lineup currently, alongside Mark Turner, Avishai Cohen, Robin Eubanks, Stefon Harris, Edward Simon, Penman, & Harland.
  19. Tramp stamps are ubiquitous.

  21. A friend of mine visited the Oktoberfest in Munich today, so in her honor I'm drinking:
