Miles Davis Complete Blackhawk
l p replied to LouisvillePrez's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
In my opinion that is very harsh on Someday My Prince Will Come. and you skip the 1960 euro tour with jc, and the only 4 known versions of "Teo". -
i was wondering why there was hardly anything on google about it when i looked today. am looking forward to Ruby, My Dear. and it's good that there's no sax.

this was released in May 2015 http://www.resonancerecords.org/artist.php?artist=Wes+Montgomery http://www.amazon.com/In-Beginning-CD-Wes-Montgomery/dp/B00R244CSI but there is another live release that's supposed to come out soon. from the same 50's time period. there's a thread here somewhere.

i think that you mean the other upcoming live release. In the Beginning was released a few months ago, and other than 2-3 tunes of just wes and percussion, In the Beginning is uneventful.

i like the 2 takes of Acknowledgement with shepp that we have from the previous reissue. it's almost like a different tune. the 2 cd version, without the live 3rd disc: A Love Supreme: The Complete Masters [2 CD] $19.98 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014T4JP2G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

around an hour of new outtakes. there's nothing wrong with that.

"Here Comes The Sun: Nina Simone On RCA"
l p replied to ghost of miles's topic in Jazz Radio & Podcasts
instead, give you some taste in music. she can't sing, mostly chooses bad songs to record, and you're a judgemental fool. -

put her in the pop/soul/r&b section by the trash dumpster behind the store. -
still hasn't made it to the jazz section. it's too late for him now.

this would be a good place to start a thread of people filed in the jazz section who have nothing to do with jazz. soul/r&b is where she belongs. she ain't no jazz singer. -
