I bought them a week or so ago when I ran out of my Ray Charles stamps.

I think Jonathan is referring to the Half Note recordings from 1959 (Konitz/Marsh/Evans/Garrison/Motian) - some was released in full on a Verve twofer CD in the 90'sThe LP releases on Revelation 22 & 27 (The Art Of Improvising, Vols 1 & 2) were just the Warne solos with rhythm section plus the occasional Konitz I have what I believe is an "unauthorized" release with 12 of the complete Half Note takes. I understand there are more than 40, so I'd buy it to get the other 30.

Well, I've actually enjoyed him with Terry / Brookmeyer & Eddie Daniels (who also doesn't seem to be a favorite around here).

How do you like it ? Moore is one of my favorite writer ("Birds of America" was brilliant). I thought the Moore was excellent.

Good news (finally) for me - my package from Jazz Messengers is in Albuquerque & should be delivered here in Santa Fe tomorrow or Thursday. Shipped Mar. 7 - will arrive Mar. 26 or 27. Seems long to me but at least it wasn't lost.
