  1. AFAIK the publishers are already sending out review copies. F "Already" - it's only been in the works since 2002. When can us peons get a copy???
  2. I still don't believe this has been issued. My usual book sources don't have it.
  3. Don't hold your breath on some of them. The Long March has been listed for about 4 years.
  4. Margaret Coel: The Girl With Braided Hair
  5. Works for me too.
  6. Dutch Masters
  7. Would those Shakill's Warrior CDs on DIW count??
  8. I had the vinyl many years ago. Probably somewhere in Japan now.
  9. I have friends who love the device, but I agree with king ubu. Luddites unite.
  10. Very annoying, as I thought might be the case from records, but I had to hear what he sounded like in-person 'cause sometimes that makes a big difference and so many good people (including good musicians) dig him. Roughly, a "farther out" Joe Lovano without even the sub-interest of handling changes with some deftness, plus that hoarse, gargly neo-Trane sound that I can't stand -- the one where the player sounds from the first note like his eyes are half-shut in ecstasy. I walked. Ouch!!! I like his CDs better than that. Have never seen / heard him live.
  11. Their CD Gnomade is really good (IMHO).
  12. Green Bay needs to "struggle" more like they did today.
  13. Joshua Breakstone Quartet
  14. You may want to try Magnus Broo: Painbody on Moserobie. It's a quartet with piano, bass, drums. Dusty Groove may have it.
  15. One of the greatest. R.I.P.
  16. No CDs - well maybe 1 or 2 per month. No books. No travel. Fewer meals out. Lots of hiking & TV.
  17. Napa River Grill

    Pid?

As a retired physician, that used to stand for "pelvic inflammatory disease".
  19. I always felt that Hardman had a very distinctive sound & style. He may not have had the "technique" of some of the usual suspects, but he could always (IMO) be identified very easily.
  20. I liked it more than you did. I found the writing style & story quite moving. I did have to get out my Spanish dictionary now & then.
  21. Roth: Indignation
  22. I know it's not a poll, but I don't agree with you on almost all of the above. Just my 2 cents.
  23. Probably tacky to reply to myself, but yes he can & did. Go Brewers!!
