I wanted AEC with Fontella Bass, but it was backordered at CD Universe & too expensive at Dusty Groove.
So - I got it at cheap-cds (which I hadn't used in ages) with a few others to make the S&H more palatable.
I enjoyed this first episode of the new season.
I'll watch it again when it reruns on HBO on Tuesday night.
The, dare I say it, politics of the striving for power is fascinating.
BTW, was that a Dylan song at the end?
I've always appreciated Dewey's playing.
I had sort of lost interest in Joshua, but he sounds damn good on the 3CD San Francisco Jazz Collective live set.
One problem for consumers (i.e. me) is that Andrew!!!! & Compulsion have only been on CD in the Mosaic box.
Hopefully will be reissued as Conns. someday.
I picked up a mint Japanese copy of that vinyl for £5 a few weeks ago, Brownie. It's a very nice session, indeed. Cool cover with the 'Daddy-O Presents' logo (whoever he was).
Daddy-O Daylie was a Chicago jazz DJ.
I have Soul Finger as a Japanese mini-LP which was part of a Mercury & related labels reissue series. Came out probably 2003. Liner notes are dated Oct. 4, 2002.
Catalogue# is UCCM-9128.
Hope you can find it.
