  1. I always have Mosaic ship to me using UPS. I had a bad experience with DHL (which Mosaic made good on).
  2. Already on backorder at CD Universe. Apparently not in stock yet at Dusty Groove.
  3. I have both the Holiday & Young Verves. Wouldn't be without them.
  4. I can't remember the first one I bought, but my customer number is 557.

    Bill Hardman

My take on Hardman is that while he was not the world's greatest trumpeter (whatever that means), he did have a very original sound & style that I could always identify immediately.
  6. Oy vey. Where's Clem when we "need" him??
  7. Everybody has an opinion. I guess that's good. Makes life interesting.
  8. I don't need the downloads either.
  9. Rare & expensive (around $50) on the internet. Hopefully will show up in a "new" issue someday.
  10. Not to derail the thread, but I just dug out my copy of New Tango 92 & gave it a listen. Good stuff. Notes by Mr. Lowe himself. Addendum: Needless to say I also have the CD Mental Strain At Dawn & highly recommend it.
  11. Screw it. It's back in stock at Dusty Groove so I ordered it. If I can live with the sound on the Brown / Roach, I guess I can tolerate this too.
  12. Excellent music, excellent cover.
  13. Already out of stock at Dusty Groove so someone must have it. I'm curious too.
  14. Write on, Mr. Litweiler, write on.
  15. I have a late 80's Soul Note CD by this trio. It is, at least, interesting. Wonder what they'll sound like together 18 years later.

The Complete Quartets With Sonny Clark
  17. Interesting. This is the subject of Corbett's vinyl freak column in the new issue of DownBeat. Guess it was on CD after all.
  18. http://www.cellarlive.com New live CD with Alexander / Ledonne on B-3, Peter Bernstein & Joe Farnsworth. Looks good.
  19. I buy off the site frequently.
  20. I point out again that Maria Schneider has an option at Artists Share where you can just get the CD. I'll bet that's what most of us did.
  21. Perhaps if we all e-mailed him, and not all of us bitching -- but simply asking if the recording was available for a more reasonable price. $35 is pretty painful for just one CD. Hell, that's painful for a double CD even. I didn't really bitch. I simply pointed out that there should be a lower price point. Compared it to the way Maria Schneider handled the marketing of her CD through the same source.
  22. I sent an e-mail to Danilo bitching re: the $35 price. Will see if I get an answer.
  23. U.S. price I see listed is $45. Anybody going to do better than that?
  24. Will there be a "regular" edition or just all of the high priced special editions (4 according to one site) I see listed on the internet?
  25. Way over 40.
