  1. Yes, that one is unique and outstanding! I like the Clifford Brown one also, but "Focus" is something completely different.
  2. Thanks, I opened a request for it, and we'll see what happens. Meantime I'll keep an eye on Ebay.
  3. Impeccable choices (would have been hard to go wrong with most any Waldron or Curson from the decade). Not familiar with the Williams or the Stenson, and I like late Williams a good bit, but find much of her later work hard to come by.

  5. Yep. Obviously Wayne has.
  6. amazon.co.jp was a great suggestion, except I can't log in using my amazon.com account! Any suggestions on how I can log onto amazon.co.jp with an amazon.com prime account? I have ordered from amazon in canada, uk, france, and germany, have never had this issue. Is it because of the character set (alphabet)?
  7. Please PM if you have a lead for me on getting this CD, thanks.
  8. Really liked his work with the Jarrett European Quartet, and on many other ECM albums. RIP.
  9. Have never heard any of them, not adept at sources for this sort of thing, wish I was.
  10. Roach sold. Additional (and likely final) price drops on remaining titles: Lennie Tristano (6 CD's) $100 Woody Herman Select (3 CD's) $35 Akiyoshi/Tabackin Select (3 CD's) $70 Modern Jazz Quartet (7 CD's) $105 Sonny Stitt (9 CD's) $95
  11. And the Tyrone Washington Train Wreck! All "lost treasures"!
  12. Everly-ish harmonies at their best, strong writing and guitar playing. Best of breed. And this is a live album, which has their best songs, and avoids the production pitfalls which have tripped them up in the studio so often following their stunning debut. Start here.
  13. Much less expensive on Discogs. Always remember to check there also. https://www.discogs.com/Pharoah-Sanders-Live/master/184904
  14. That has been sitting on the Strata-East website for a long long time. I don't expect to actually ever see it, though it would be great to have.
  15. I hope it's true, but I'll believe it when I see it.
  16. Love their early stuff esp. the complete Yogi's concert and the first album.
  17. The Strata East website never proved to be dependable for upcoming release info.
