  1. Nice to walk by, but nothing of interest inside. That area of Bleeker Street has seen better days.
  2. So am I, after discovering this is mysteriously missing from my collection. Must have lent it to someone.......
  3. Yes, but try to do that for international shipping and the costs becomes even more prohibitive. The rising costs, especially where overseas is concerned, has killed my ability to sell items overseas.
  4. FAB Trio, Old Dog, Nu Band, the Ted Daniel, Byard Lancasters, the Juma Sultan cd, Henry Grimes & Rashid Ali, Joe Chambers, Arnold Cheatham. David Hurley's Outer Nebula is a surprise, recommended as well, as Eero Kovistoinen's 3rd version. Lots of good stuff here.
  5. There are many fine ones, but it is this mono version that for me gets to the heart of it all (sorry for the obnoxiously large jpeg):
  6. http://www.nobusinessrecords.com/NBCD56.php
  7. One of my all time favorites, though some may find it maddening to listen to:
  8. Xenakis is excellent. Across the board, excellent. This was a recent pick up, from da bastids: Very nice. Also, anything by Laurie Spiegel is worth picking up.
  9. Listening to this: Really enjoyable!
  10. No, I wouldn't go that far. But it is a nice release, overall.
  11. I keep coming back to these, time after time. Ansermet's conducting of the Rites of Spring All of them, actually, but in particular, the first one. Timeless. Black Angels, but Unto the Hills is spectacular.
  12. The "Vault" is moving????
  13. Yes, it is different. But it does feel like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. And yes, good remastering, as are most of the other releases.
  14. What was the subject of this thread again? [i am discovering the thrill of streaming high res files from my iMac to my two stereo systems, one being a solid state Conrad Johnson preamp/amp combo and the other an HH Scott 222C tube integrated (filtered through a nice DAC).]
  15. also, pm sent
  16. Listened to it. It's okay, nothing much. The Dagger records rehearsal stuff is much better.
  17. It'll go lower. I paid under $100 for the first set.
  18. I'll be waiting for a decent price on this:
  19. Well done.
  20. Stumbled across Samuel Blaser's "As the Sea" on Hatology, with Marc Ducret, Banz Oester, and Gerald Cleaver. Very nice! Trombone/guitar/double bass/drums, an intriguing combo.
  21. "Blue Moses" was issued as a Japanese import. I don't recall if it ever was issued in the U.S.
  22. Most of them, yes.
  23. While I won't defend them with regards the boots that they sell, they do have to pay the rent, with regards to the pricing of their legit stuff. Yes, there are used items that are overpriced; but the main reason I go there when I'm in NYC is that they just have stuff that I will not find anywhere else. The staff is always nice, and when they get a feel for what I listen to, they'll toss me recommendations that I find to be worthwhile purchases. I don't feel like I'm ripped off there.
