In DC, the Martin Luther King Library (main branch) has an enormous vinyl collection, which was recently moved to a dark corner of the building amidst a renovation and replanning of spaces. Unbeknownst to many, it holds a huge jazz lp collection donated by the once well known dj Felix Grant. It was intended to be put on the shelves for public lending, but it never was. Supposedly they are just sitting in boxes, and because of the stipulations of the donation they can not sell them. Who knows if that has changed.
