It's a very good label, with lots of interesting titles. Spritual Jazz volume 1 is a terrific document of rare, independent jazz from the 60's and early 70s. I found volumes 2 and 3 to be really disappointing in comparison to volume 1; perhaps because the emphasis was on rare European jazz, but given what was being produced at that time, it should have been stronger.

Yes, the Orchestre Kanaga de Mopti is fantastic! Once I receive the discs I will comment. Forgot to mention this one was part of the shopping spree:

Pretty much what my thoughts on him. I think his concepts are sometimes more interesting than his actual playing. I agree with this as well. Another recommendation, this time from Ayler records. I have the first two in this series, volume 4 has been issued before vol 3, but this is all good:

Start with this one: I'm a big fan of Jonas Kullhammer, and this latest one is highly recommended: Not too out, but not too in either.

My recent recommendations: The Pyramids' first new album in over 30 years, and it is a good one. Phil Cohran's latest, with most of his family in the group. Outstanding! Most of the tirles on Rogue Art are worth picking up.
