Lon, I did almost the same with my tax return money. Except I went and got this:
Sounds exactly like the Bose system, except for less than 1/2 the cost. Loving it so far - there is punch to the bass, and the highs are clear. Can get freakin load as well.
Saw this yesterday. Loved it, but definitely NOT for young kids. Starts off like an Ealing comedy, becomes the Wicker Man, then explodes into a big finale like Bad Boys. Crazy, but it works seamlessly.
Does he want to play in his home town? Maybe he has priced himself out of the clubs, and the concert halls aren't certain about him drawing abig audience. Wait, wasn't there a Lincoln Center concert some years ago with him or was it using his compositions?
What a terrible title for the series. "The War." Like that was the only one in the 20th century that had worldwide effects.
I've never viewed Burns' work as anything more than educational entertainment, which is to say it is watchable with a little bit of informative content.
Got both cds in the mail. Early 90's masters, not Ron McMaster, but done in Japan. Lawrence Marable's Tenorman is great!
Correction: The Kelly is Japanese remastered, the Marable IS McMaster. Both sound fine, regardless.
