  1. The day after Thanksgiving I'll be in the Jeep enjoying the 84° Tucson weather.
  2. In high school it was the combination locks I had to remember. One for my main locker and one for my gym locker. Today I have to remember an infinite number of login names and passwords. Sometimes, after a holiday break such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, I forget my password for the network at my place of employment. I keep all my logins and passwords on a memory stick, also password protected. If I forget the password to my memory stick I'm fecked.
  3. As is often the case Mr. John T. describes the music well.
  4. Don Cheadle would be perfect to play Hank Mobley.
  5. I started this Sunday morning with some tunes from Steely Dan. Had breakfast with a friend in a restaurant at 9:00AM. Was on the road in the Jeep with same friend by 10:30AM. Now it's near 11:30PM and I'm enjoying a late Sunday evening with Thelonious Monk.
  6. Hey, man. I just found your reply to my post, like, tonight. Yeah, I be doin' okay. But have found other things to do than be on the computer so much lately. I'm still alert to the world and making my way day-by-day. You?
  7. There is lots of thunder in Tucson tonight. The lights in my house are flickering now & again. But still no friggin' rain. You'd think it was a desert or something around here.
  8. I keep the Mosaic booklets in the Mosaic box resting atop the Mosaic CDs. When I want to play a Mosaic CD the booklet is right there immediately available.
  9. You're getting old, my friend.
  10. I lost a CD disk's worth of photos once upon a time. The CD Roller software recovered all the pictures except one. I felt like I got off cheap to have all my pictures returned to me for only $29.00. I'm glad it worked for you.
  11. You can try running some CD recovery software such as this: http://www.cdroller.com/ Download the trial version for free. Then test to learn if the program can recover anything worth keeping from the damaged CD.

  13. There are still some JJs remaining? Damn.
  14. Yes. I've read certain opinions on this board regarding the negative sound quality of the Lou Donaldson Mosaic. The sound seems a little 'narrow' but after a couple of tunes you no longer notice it. You do, however, notice and enjoy the hell out of Lou's playing.
  15. I had my taxes complete and in the mail in the middle of March. This is the first time in YEARS that I've had my taxes done before April 14th. It feels nice to not have to be concerned about the last minute post office rush this year.
  16. I own and recommend the JJ set. I'm going to skip the Mildred Bailey box.
  17. $6,500? I have a friend who had all his teeth pulled because he got tired of paying dental bills. Now he has a set of false teeth that he wears at his leisure. Due to my friend's beard a person doesn't notice he has no teeth. My friend gums his food most of the time. I dislike dentists and dental bills. Still, I'd rather have less money and more teeth. My natural teeth seem so much more convenient and comfortable for me than my friend's false teeth for him.
  18. Hey. It's another birthday for you. Bro.
  19. Uhhh... going to bed early to go out in the Jeep early the next day... uhhh, Mr. BFrank, sir.
  20. Yeah............right. I'm with you BFrank. I'm with you.
  21. Nah, you just peaked. Please look downhill. I never thought about it in quite this manner. Yikes.
  22. My 40th birthday is better than my 30th. Isn't it supposed to be the reverse? Go figure.
  23. I remember when I turned 30 years of age. It wasn't a big deal yet I still felt a sort of emotional letdown. I always believed I'd be or at least 'feel' more successful in my life by the time I reached 30. Now, today, turning 40 years of age for me... it's sorta cool. I'm past the point of caring. I went 'running' tonight, enjoyed a good Mexican dinner and a couple of cheap beers. Life seems better for me now than ten years ago. Have a Happy Birthday, Noj. It's been a good trip thus far.
  24. Maybe I should spend the night consuming a single beer to celebrate each and every year I've been living on the planet? 40 years... I'm feeling better already.
