  1. The Americans season finale A stylish end to the season that grew on me as it went along. Hope it's renewed.
  2. It's a sequal to The Politician's Wife from 1995. I enjoyed it a lot more than Broadchurch. The Politician's Wife was great, especially Juliet Stevenson. Broadchurch left me puzzled why it was so well received, it usually had me on the verge of nodding off. Just goes to show how excellent Scott & Bailey is- it runs rings round the lot.
  3. Rectify Impressive look at a man who spends half his life in a solitary cell on death row and who is released suddenly when dna evidence cast doubt on his guilt. Quite profound, slow paced character study was very impressive but requiring patience . The guy who plays the con, Aden Young gives a spot on memorable performance. Recommended.
  4. A great singer, R.I.P George Jones.
  5. Any good? Missed it last Thursday but might catch up tonight. Yes, it was interesting despite David Tennant. I don't know how it will play out but Emily Watson always turns in a solid perfomance, and I'm generally a fan of of political thrillers.
  6. The Politician's Husband BBC
  7. Scandal Huck's background story was pretty intense and genuinely touching.
  8. Monday. The number one song was ' To Each His Own' by Eddy Howard.
  9. Have a good one, KU.
  10. Endeavour ITV Follows on from last years pilot. Young Morse in fine form with deductive powers on full display despite the sometimes clunky storyline. DI Thursday is also excellent. Very enjoyable.
  11. Justified Season 3 complete.
  12. Sad if not unexpected news. He was always my default reviewer even though i disagreed with some of his opinions.

  14. Cold and dull with ominous rain clouds.
  15. Foyle's War new season. Foyle is now at MI5 tackling cold war problems. Great as usual.
  16. BBC2 The Challenger Gripping. William Hurt outstanding as Richard Feynman.
  17. Seinfeld Season 5
  18. Where are you off to, Lol ?
  19. Rewatched Scott & Bailey S 1 The three leads have a believable relationship, supported by sparklingly real dialogue. Especially like DCI Gill, she could talk the hind leg off a donkey and has a terrific arsenal of colloquial witticisms..
  20. Rewatching Luther S1
  21. Has to be Beverley Knight's take of Twist & Shout at Abbey Road Studios. See You Tube.
  22. Rewatching Detroit 187 Eps 1-9
