  1. About the PMs: In IE7, there's no "subject" line, just a "to" and "additional recipients" line, and then the text box. So no PMs can be sent, it just produces an error because a subject has to be included... Again, I'm not using IE7 at my own will, rather at work it's just what I have, and I have no choice there, alas!
  2. hilarious story! earlier thread here: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=56420
  3. Mary Halvorson Trio tonight - been looking forward to this one for months! Saw her in spring with Taylor Ho Bynum's sextet, a fine but somewhat heady, restrained set.
  4. Nope, go to "full reply" and open the "options" below (a round green button), there you can add them!
  5. Being a late-comer, I only saw "The Ipcress File" about two or three years ago, and I enjoyed it a lot. It's certainly one of the funniest parodies on its genre, and Caine with his silly goggles is great!
  6. Like in "Night and Day"?
  7. I'd be all over that! I only have the first two and the "Lost Trident" (which indeed is not the great relevation some had hoped it would be). I think there's be one more album to have, but that one only came out in an old stinkin' version, right? (I'm thinking of "Between Nothingness and Eternity") BNAE is an AMAZING album. You have to have it (and I don't say that often here). I think it's head and shoulders above Inner Mounting Flame and Birds Of Fire. It rocks, it thunders. I was at one of those concerts that weekend (including the one that produced "Dream" for the album), and I can attest that's what they sounded like live. They rock! Check out McLaughlin's breaking into "Sunshine of Your Love" during "Dream." I would love to have an expanded version of this album. I think "Lost Trident" is just the studio version of the material that went into BNAE; it was probably nixed because they thought the live versions were superior. That's quite a... well, blazing... recommendation! I'll look for it!
  8. Yeah, but those who browse while at work (I do so for two to three times a week) don't have that option, alas... but I can live with it! I just wanted to report these things, as there might be an easy way to fix some of them! (Not that I know... maybe nothing's easy about it, then just don't mind!)
  9. Joseph Trotta Leutnant Gustl General Stumm von Bordwehr
  10. Well, it just says "extensive concert footage"... normally I'd take this as an indication that footage from various concerts would be included, but I don't know. Still, just disc 2 with the interviews sounds very interesting alone! And I guess the film isn't a concert film with some talk in between, but rather a real portrait, so it looks very interesting, too!
  11. Another thing with IE7 - I can't send private messages! It tells me to enter a subject, but there's not field where I can enter a subject line! @kyo: did you get my reply?
  12. As I posted earlier in this thread, only IE8 has that button and only when sites are recognized as being incompatible with IE8. I asn't sure if your reply was to MG only or to me as well, sorry.
  13. I don't see any such button in IE7, I'm afraid! On the positive side, the old quotes are now properly boxed - very good!
  14. I guess you know the film? One of Michael Caine's finest early ones!

  16. from: http://www.ayler.org/html/what_s_new.html December 7 2009 News SUNNY’S TIME NOW on DVD Well, I might have known. I thought I’d finished with the site for 2009 when I received an email from Jazz Promo Services with the news that the Antoine Prum documentary about Sunny Murray, Sunny’s Time Now, will be released this month on DVD. Apart from the obvious interest to Ayler fans of the film itself, the second disc also includes a 37 minute interview with the late Daniel Caux, the man behind the Nuits de la Fondation Maeght. At the moment the DVD hasn’t reached the regular stores, but it can be ordered direct from Paul Thiltges Distributions. Click here for a big picture with full details of the double DVD.
  17. I think the problem is with the stuff you list below your avatar, Jim - that normed vertical line between the profile preview and the post is endless! Also that thing with the editing bar being displayed in the middle of the "fast reply" window is pretty annoying! And that issue is the very same with "full reply" - there's space for five or six lines, then there's the editing bar in the middle of the box where I type! And one more thing (forgive the line-breaks, but like this I can go on typing below the editing bar which is displayed in between!): some links open in the same window, as opposed to in a new tab or window, for instance the links to Amazon I posted here: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=54606&view=findpost&p=984675 And please don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I'm trying to help you fix issues! And I do like the new looks!
  18. I'm reading on IE7 now and indeed all posts by band members or moderators (at least Use3c's) are looooooooooooooooooong white posts mostly, with page down/up you need to hit about ten times to get to the next post. And it won't load properly, hence I've not read all the recent posts... also I'm now typing blindly because the editing bar is in the middle of the "fast reply" field and after the sixth line, the typing has to be done behind the editing bar... funny!
  19. A guitar player by the name of Sir Jonathan Gasser has some great spots on the first of the "Jazz Studio" albums (one of the few worthy Lonehill reissue series). Of course his real name is Johnny Smith...
  20. Hope you had some Leffe, that excuses everything!
  21. Yeah, I guess so... everyone should adjust the settings to 40 posts per page to make the board an easier read!
  22. May take a little longer to arrive Flurin. Receiving orders from jazzology can take a few weeks domestically. I ordered from a Swiss site... not sure if some discs have delivery times of 1-2 weeks, otherwise the package may be here by tomorrow already!
  23. What forum are you trying to upload into? This is the announcements forum and nobody can start topics or upload here except for me. And what error are you getting? It's possible the permissions are not set correctly for the upload folder. (...) I just tried to attach something and got an error, too. I bet the permissions are not set right for the uploads folder. I'll get on it. I just managed to attach an image - same one in the same thread that didn't work: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=56428&st=0&gopid=984677&#entry984677 I got a very unspecific error message (just "upload failed" or something similar) before. So with this solved, all looks fine on the latest version of Opera!
  24. testing the attachment function again...
