  1. Thanks for sharing that. Marion Brown made some great records.
  2. It was one very busy week at work, study and privately. Time to relax now:
  3. I am enoying the hell out of those Steve Lacy compilations. Emanem wasn't on my musical radar when Martin was still around.
  4. I must say I never really had any speed issues.
  5. Definitely. Great stuff
  6. It took me long to get to this record. I think it was Johnny Dyani who took me there and now it's one of my favorites. You Ain't Gonna Know Me 'Cos You Think You Know Me is one of the most beautiful melodies I know.
  7. This again. Got volume 2 now as well. Will spin that one as well coming weeks.
  8. Thanks guys. Judson Hall was a live venue wasn't it? Ive got Noah Howards concert there. Checking my collection data now I see indeed some Frank Wright records were recorded at RLA studios. As was Carmell Jones' Jay Hawk Talkin but thats no ESP recording by any means of course.
  9. Amazing record. The title song is one of the most catchy modal jazz themes I know.
  10. Ive noticed that studios are seldomly if not never mentioned. It always says: recorded in NYC. Did ESP Disk use the same studios for recording or is there anything known where those sessions took place?
  11. LP one and two. That’s Berlin and Lorrach.
  12. I am going to see Gary in November in Rotterdam!
  13. Clifford I’d say that if you’re house is about to collapse that might me a sign you just got too many records. Of course I am willing to sacrifice myself for the good cause and wanting to store a part of your collection free of charge 😜
  14. Thanks Hutchfan. It’s small but I feel spoiled having my own space in our house.
  15. 618 Mike. There’s more on the right. This room is the best place to be in the house. No wife allowed and children only with permission up front 😇
  16. I believe that @HutchFan, @mjazzg and @clifford_thornton were enthusiastic about this record which sparked my interest. Listened, bought en now listening again. I could confirm this is a great record. Lots of Coltrane influence but enough authenticity to make it interesting and a great band too!
