  1. Nope! Was outbid the few times I've seen it on eBay:(
  2. Can I give you a wantlist?
  3. Recent order arrived today: Grant Green "matador", "oleo", "goodens corner", and "Nigeria"(this last one is not a SHM cd and has bad original 80s lp artwork intact). Listening to "matador" now...incredible sound for a silver disc...and a lot cheaper then the Japanese vinyl!
  4. I've seen him many times since the first time I saw him in 1993 or 1994 with the Guy/Lytton trio and I would concur that his playing seems more measured lately.
  5. So jealous...never been to Japan and there's so many Japanese free jazz LPs I'm after!
  6. I would add "Pakistani Pomade" as a must have even if Parker is not the leader...
  7. It was a beautiful goal!
  8. That's one of the few amalgam records I don't have...had a chance to buy the vinyl many years ago but at the time didn't like the price tag. Great band...
  9. This game is reinforcing my opinion that it was more Brazil self-imploding then Germany being super amazing. Germany is finding out that Argentina is a formidable opponent...
  10. Keith Jarrett "Death and the flower" (MCA, Japan). Great sounding album recorded at Generation Sound in NY...Charlie Haden RIP MEV "leave the city" (BYG, France). Have not played this one in ages...forgot how cosmic/trippy this album is!
  11. Kosuke Mine "Mine" (Three Blind Mice, Japan)
  12. Hurray! A win like this cleanses the palate after that Argentina headache-fest.
  13. Listening to my black label Atlantic mono copy of "change of the century"...Ornette was one of my first loves when I got into jazz as a teenager and Charlie Haden was a big factor in these albums. RIP
  14. That's a $500 record in that condition! Great score!
  15. I think some retail therapy is in order so I will go ahead and order that Bobby Hutcherson "oblique" SHM CD even though I have the RVG CD already...
  16. I took the afternoon off work to watch it and had to take a Tylenol during the second half because I was getting a headache. I'm going to send Van Persie a bill for my lost wages yesterday
  17. They're terrific live; I've seen them at least 5 times since 1994...I agree the recent CDs fail to capture the magic.
  18. Sun Ra "the magic city" (Saturn mono, USA) Terje Rypdal "odyssey" (ECM, Germany)
  19. So far Argentina look more threatening...
  20. Just hope Van Persie recovers...
  21. The 1st goal was legit, but the Germans made the Brazilian defense look like school kids on the next 4. Crazy game! So many Brazilian tears... I just hope Van Persie gets over his stomach illness in time for tomorrow's match.
  22. Can I just add "Go Oranje!"? Haha...
  23. I have that piece on an Edition RZ LP although I believe it's a different performance. Will have to try and find this. Just checked - looks like it's the same performance. I have that same RZ lp and it's a different performance. The RZ is a live 1973 performance without Kosugi and Ichiyanagi. The TOKK lp is a 1975 studio recording featuring Kosugi on electric violin and Ichiyanagi himself along with the other members.
  24. TOKK ensemble Tokyo "music for living process" (RCA, Japan). I love this album so much...sublime contemporary classical that is very experimental with the likes of Takehisa Kosugi and Toshi Ichiyanagi. Not to mention the brilliant percussion of Yasumori Yamaguchi and the brilliant harp performance by Ayako Shinozaki.
