  1. Blues, the various Louisiana styles, roots rock are primary choices but if an artist(s) sounds good to me that are outside of those boundaries I'll listen to them too.
  2. couw-thanks! Yeah Frank wasn't exactly the best looking dude but his guitar playing, bands and overall genius kicked major booty over a lot of pretty boys and girls.
  3. Didn't Ogerman arrange Wes Montgomery's "Tequila" and if so was it any better?
  4. couw-that is cool.Do you have the one with the grinning guy shaving with the weasel?
  5. danasgoodstuff-the album/cd in question is "Weasles Ripped My Flesh". The cover work for the album/cd is something else too.
  6. Sica- Welcome and it's good to know that younger people are into this music.
  7. Parkertown- Likewise good to see you on this board. Pagosa Springs got more rain than snow out of this last storm.I'm glad the front range got the moisture though the commute must have been a major pain.
  8. How about Stitt and Patterson "Live at the Left Bank"? Now that one has extra Greeze!!!!
  9. Gunnison is a place where you can really freeze your huevos off! Another one that comes to mind is Alamosa.
  10. Where are you in SW Colorado? I reside in Pagosa. I was in Colorado Springs a few days before it started honking on the front range.I'm glad the area is getting the moisture.I'm also glad that I didn't have to travel through it.
  11. Ed-Thanks. Good to be here. Jim-oooo White Lightning!!!. .Mike-maybe the Possum is at Bristol this weekend trying to qualify the lawnmower.
  12. I thought about picking it up when I was in Colorado Springs but the lineup kind of spooked me.Glad I didn't.
  13. I second that. These releases look really good. Where else can you get them besides Dusty Groove.
  14. Being a hardcore night person getting to bed by midnight is usually pretty early for me. I usually get about six hours or less of sleep.
  15. Another BNBB boat person checking to what I hope is a friendly shore.
  16. I picked up the downbeat with Cannon on it but I have yet to read the article something I intend to change soon.Man was Cannon Awesome!!!
  17. In no paticular order: Kenny Barron Herbie Hancock Oscar Peterson McCoy Tyner Chucho Valdes
  18. Don Patterson is like the Randy Johnson of the b3 world.I respectfully disagree with the AMG guy.
  19. Former Baltimore Raven Tony Siragusa looks like he has a pretty big head. I have a big head and I scare the hell out of myself.
  20. At least one rapper,Chuck D,apparently feels some connection to the blues as he performed at a recent year of the blues tribute. The connection between blues and hip hop is closer than most realize who follow hip hop.As for Stefon Harris he may not be wrong at this point and time but it sounds like a situation where he might change his mind somewhere down the road.
  21. I was in Colorado Springs last weekend and picked up cd's by Louie Bellson,Mongo Santamaria and the Sweet Baby Blues Band. I passed on cds by Kenny Burrell and the LA 4 and I'll probably kick myself for it later on.
