  1. On this page (http://www.xitel.com/product_inport.htm) they say the system requirements are Windows 98se, ME, 2000, or XP. So I would say that Mac is not supported.
  2. I don't think that is the issue. The issue is a publication saying, "Hey, if you take out an ad, we'll definitely review your CD! But if you don't, there's no guarantees." That's shady, imo. Do you really think the publication will print a bad review of the CD if they person paid $1500 for an ad? Hell no because if they did, the band wouldn't even bother with the magazine when their next CD came out and they'd lose that potential ad revenue. And sure, it happens everywhere. Doesn't make it ethical.
  3. I'm having a tough time figuring out what tuning system they used. Can anybody else tell? Equal Temperament or Just Intonation?? I think they used the "shit scale".
  4. Johnny, I just talked to Louis at Schulers and he mentioned that. I wish I could be there. How long are you in MI?
  5. You can not get anything from this site as far as advertising. There must be something on your computer. The only pop-ups you get from this site are from Private Messages.
  6. Ah, I thought you meant the page design. I'm not thrilled with how to logo looks on that brown. It looks better with a white background. I just changed it on the site to reflect that. Anyway...
  7. looks good my man! did you get the article? What do you think? I dug it very much! When can we put it up? Well, it's definitely cleaner than the old one, don't you think?
  8. I finished the re-design of the organissimo homepage. The new logo is up at the top. I will eventually be replacing the skins here on the forum with ones that match the new design. I will make the original "peach & lavender" available for old times sake. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think: www.organissimo.org
  9. Thanks to brownie, amazon.fr is now available via the search bar.
  10. Great. It's going to take us FOUR records to get reviewed in Downbeat? Congrats, Johhny!
  11. Congrats, Julie!!! C'mon folks, let's help meet Chelsea's goal!
  12. To defend Cadence, we've been reviewed in there twice and have never taken out an ad. Nor have they ever asked. I do have a letter from one magazine like the one described in the article, however. Not Cadence, another magazine.
  13. Chips are so '00. Music will be delivered via ingestion of stem cells taken from aborted fetuses (and abortion will be not only legal, but required if you have more than 1 kid, due to the cost of oil making single family homes a must, since everyone will only be allowed to have a scooter with a sidecar on it for family transportation).
  14. Without naming names, and to answer the question "What about jazz magazines?" all I can say is, "Yes." In my experience, this is common practice.
  15. No, but are there pictures?
  16. Amazon.co.uk is up! Now BUY BUY BUY, FOOLS! SPEND YOUR MONEY! MAKE ME RICH... ahem...
  17. Thanks to tjobbe, an amazon.de link is now in the search box! Let me see if I can do amazon.uk. Wordage! ----jim
  18. A band of 14-16 year old kids play "Return Of The Giant Hogweed". Pretty impressive!
  19. I don't blame her. We "opened" for a Grand Rapids pops concert two nights in a row a few weeks ago and the audience was totally lame. It was obviously a social event, a meet-and-greet, and the music was completely secondary to the occasion.
  20. I would just like to thank neveronfriday for the idea of signing up for the CDUniverse and Amazon.com affiliate programs. Last month we cleared about $130 in payments between the two of them. My monthly server costs are $150, so that really really helps! I know our European friends would like links added to the top search bar for their respective Amazons. If anyone who speaks German, French, etc. can help me set up the affiliate for that particular site, I would appreciate it. Thanks! ----Jim
