  1. Well, my poor little sister has been living a nightmare for the last 7+ years with her teeth. She's had numerous root canals and just had seven teeth pulled last week. And she's 5 years younger than me. Genetics are a wacky thing.
  2. Well... I finally went to the dentist for the first time in my life today. I never had insurance as a kid (or young adult) until my wife got this new job about 3 years ago. Since then, I've just been putting it off, but my wife made me promise to go after the new year. I'm happy to report that, much to my surprise, my gums are in good shape and so are my teeth. I have one tooth that might need a root canal (it isn't hurting at all... none of my teeth do) and a couple that need minor fillings, but nothing major at all. The dentist also recommended the Sonicare and so I got one from his office for $80. I went to the local Rite-Aid afterward to get some more toothpaste and saw the same model for $129.99, so I got a good deal. I'm going in for the cleaning and root canal in a couple weeks. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing (and lied through my teeth about being so to the dentist and assistant) but I'm very happy that everything is mostly ok. That's pretty amazing for almost being 29 years old (and eating as many sweets as I do).
  3. I haven't changed anything. Not sure what to tell you.
  4. Damn... http://youtube.com/watch?v=YaTVyIld08c
  5. Now, the bigger question is, will Shaq get fined and/or suspended for his comments after the Heat got their ass handed to them by the Nets? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2395444 I don't think he'll get suspended, but he deserves it after calling out, by name, the refs.
  6. Man, I get like 10 of these a day along with Paypal ones, and even ones that claim to be from "administrator@organissimo.org" saying my password has been changed. BTW, I removed the URL from the original post. No need for that to be here.
  7. Against the Hornets. Whoopty-doo.
  8. The obligatory CDUniverse linky: Charles Mingus - Town Hall Concert
  9. Kinda late to try cashing in on the whole "Brother Where Art Thou?" bluegrass fad, ain't it?
  10. That's what I was referring to when I said, "Pay special attention to the comments after the article..." Nobody seemed to notice until now.
  11. It seems to be, as Flip Saunders said in the postgame interviews, not that they can "turn it on" at will, but that they all have a very high understanding of the game and can adjust at halftime to the weaknesses of the opposing squad. It's almost like they use the first half as a trial run, to figure out the opponent, and then in the third quarter they systematically take that opponent apart.
  12. Damn. Well, he has you beat in the hair department, my man. That's for sure. nyuk nyuk http://www.andreas-oberg.com/index2.html Them Yuropeans is gettin' scury.
  13. Oh, and not new on the scene by any stretch, but Vic Juris is one bad dude and not very well known. I also like Bob DeVos.
  14. The comparisons to Grant Green are inevitable (organist Bill Heid jokingly refers to him as Peter Greenstein), but to my ears, Bernstein is much more fluid and has a much bigger "bag of tricks". Grant repeats himself often, sometimes in the same tune.
  15. Pistons win two games in a row by coming back from at least 17 down. The Milwaukee game was crazy enough, but to do it against the Suns? These Pistons are getting just downright silly. Looks like 'Sheed will be suspended for one game for getting his 16th tech yesterday, though. Good thing the next game is against the Hornets. What's up with Dallas?! They've been getting smacked around by the East! Lebron vs. D-Wade was entertaining. I didn't see the game, but the highlights were incredible. You can't tell me that wouldn't be a great playoff series.
  16. Beautiful! It's definitely spring here which means... time to do some serious landscaping. We took out two huge pine trees from our front yard last summer (this is the front yard that's the size of a postage stamp... yes, someone planted not one, but two pine trees in it ) and have done nothing with the yard since then. The backyard is about as bad. Time to get the roto-tiller out! Today is looking like it'll be nice and sunny!
  17. I listened to "A Fickle Sonance", "Capuchin Swing", "Consequence" and "Jackie's Bag" on to and from the gig up at Boyne Mountain this weekend. Good stuff.
  18. Yeah, the CDU link is: Gene "Mighty Flea" Connors - Coming Home - but it doesn't look like it's in stock (or will be anytime soon). Doesn't look like Amazon has it. But it sounds enticing!
  19. Wow... drag.
  20. Is this better?
  21. Sounds like fun! You ever play the real thing before? Do you know what to do with the drawbars?
  22. Both should be easy fixes.
  23. That's really dumb. It's called a LAPTOP! Oh wait. It's April Fool's Day tomorrow. Ar ar. I get it.
