  1. Hey hey, I'll be going pretty much everywhere this summer continentally and even to Norway in August as part of the touring band behind Janiva Magness. I'd love it if any of you can make a sure and say hi! Or contact me via PM and we can hang if I have the time. 2. Terri Hinte is doing great work for us. Thanks for posting, Ron.
  3. Nice hang with RDK and medjuck at Versailles tonight! Thanks for the suggestion, Michael!
  4. This weekend was so busy before I left for LA that I forgot to post about this here. On Friday afternoon I got a message from my long-time piano mover friend that he had a Hammond organ in his truck that a family was throwing away. He didn't know what model it was but it had a speaker. So I asked him to send me a pic and he did. One look and I knew what it was. He delivered it on Saturday morning and didn't even charge me for the delivery! It's a 1974 or '75 mint Hammond B3 with matching 122 Leslie. I'm a lucky dog! That's Stella sitting next to me; she's almost two years old and loves music.
  5. So medjuck and I are working on possible dinner plans. Probably on this side of town. PM or call me if you think you may be available. We're talking around 7:30pm or so.
  6. I mean today, Thusday. Would love to do a late-lunch or dinner with you fools. My cell is 517-974-4815.
  7. It's here: http://www.big-o-records.com/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=20
  8. Glad y'all are enjoying it.
  9. I landed in LA on Sunday. Did rehearsals with Janiva Magness all this week but I have tomorrow off. I'm over near Culver City. Ain't got shit to do tomorrow. If anyone wants to hang, I'd be up for it, though I'm transportation-less. Friday I fly up to Portland for a show. Then Seattle on Saturday. Fly home on Sunday and back out on the road in Gulfport, MS on the 23rd. Full schedule at www.janivamagness.com.
  10. The DVD is up: http://www.big-o-records.com/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=26 Only have 12 copies right now. Not sure when/if we're going to get more.
  11. All pre-orders shipped today. I had to wait for MSU to get me the DVDs, which I just picked up this morning. As such, no new pre-orders are being accepted. A regular sealed CD is available for $14.95. I will put the DVD up this evening, I just need to scan the cover. It will sell for $19.95.
  12. Love early TD. If y'all haven't heard it, here's my tribute to Rubycon from my solo disc. http://www.organissimo.org/mp3s/2412_04.mp3
  13. So glad you're doing well. I thought you were gone from here because it can be annoying. Best wishes for your recovery, my friend!
  14. I hear you. I was just having a discussion about this with a keyboardist friend of mine last night. Herbie amazes me. He can be extremely "heady" when he wants to, like when I saw him at the Clearwater Jazz Festival in 2003 in a trio, acoustic piano, upright bass (Scott Colley), and drums (Terri Lynn Carrington) and they played for 90 minutes straight, morphing from one tune to the next, improvising at an extremely high level. And the next minute he can funk it up, again at an extremely high level, without losing the stank. And the next minute he can write a great, catchy pop tune that has surprises. The dude is amazing.
  15. I'm really not impressed with UPS these days. Sent a package to the West Coast with a guarantee that it would be there by 3pm. It arrived at 9pm. I've had two shipments of musical gear ruined by them. I try to avoid them if possible.
  16. Update to the latest version of IE via Windows Update and then use the compatibility button Hans mentions above.
  17. Both of you are using Internet Explorer, aren't you?
  18. Just now saw this. USPS changed their side-server implementation without telling anyone and it was spitting out all kinds of crazy exorbitant shipping prices. It's back to normal now. Under 20 copies left of this disc.
  19. The best Leslie for the XK3c is the new 3300, in my opinion. If you replace the stock tube with a 12AT7, you can get that nice 122-style grunge and tone from it without blowing your ears out. And if you want to blow your ears out, it's 300 watts and has headroom for days. I love mine. Check out my review: http://www.organissimo.org/3300review_1.htm In the review I mention some issues with the upper driver. Those have been solved. Mine has been rock solid since I put in the new pre-amp board, which is now standard on the 3300. As for organissimo coming to the Pacific Northwest, it seems we keep getting people asking us about that. Hopefully it will happen one day; I had a line on the Vancouver Jazz Festival this year but it didn't pan out. However, I will be in Seattle and Portland next month with blues singer Janiva Magness. www.janivamagness.com Hope you can come out! Thanks!
  20. Thank you! Need some more, please!
  21. Hoping more people can jump in on this. We're really in the red on this project and I'm not sure how we're going to pay for everything. We're relying on you to help get this baby born, so to speak.
  22. I have the book and used to have the midi files on an old computer, but they are long gone.
  23. Check your email.
