  1. Just appearances... Jim A = Butthead (according to Randy), Randy=Beavis (according to Jim) Joe G=Spock (again, according to Randy).
  2. I don't see it, myself.
  3. In downtown Lansing you'll often see a guy with a beat-up old acoustic guitar. He rarely sings; usually he just strums those open position folk chords. He's out there rain or shine, cold or heat, so I give an "A" for effort!
  4. http://www.classicalarchives.com/ Lots to peruse...
  5. Gambled and lost.
  6. Guess I was out of the loop!
  7. Oh yeah, that, and give organissimo a gig! :rsmile:
  8. jazzstage, We don't mind so much this kind of promotion, but you really should introduce yourself as a person first.
  9. If that's what porcy meant, I think I like the new phrase even better!
  10. Well said J.S.
  11. Best Follow-Up Response of the Week!!!
  12. I plan to get deeper into Bach - at the keyboard (which I learn very, very slowly).
  13. Please do. It may turn out that I've flirted w/ Chuck's daughter.
  14. Only once that I'm aware of - iirc, a British magazine refused to review our cd after someone on the board had written negative comments about said mag. We sort of shrugged that one off; for one thing, the comments were not wholly inaccurate. Bums me out to see members of quality still getting upset with each other, especially so soon after such a grand show of board-wide generosity.

    outSTANDING!
  17. Very cool. My man can shake a leg! Gave it a couple more listens ... at first I didn't think so highly of some of the sonic choices being made - synth bass and all that. But man, there is some BAD shit happening in that tune, especially going into and including the section with the "da da dee da" vocal line (would still like to hear a tight band with say Gene Perez on bass doin' it). Do they have other stuff this good?
  18. That groove is very "on top of the beat", don't you agree? Not a bad thing, but that's a charateristic I've noticed before in this music. Looks like a fun party, that's fo sho.
  19. Very cool. My man can shake a leg!
  20. Played a gig at a martini bar in Ann Arbor. Did not indulge in a martini. Fun gig, though!
  21. Sounds great to me!
  22. aloc will probably set a record for downloads of that pic as well. :rsmile:
  23. I didn't think we'd ever pass that old "record", since it wasn't actual; some sort a software glitch as I recall.
