  1. Lashing her to the 150 marker would not be nice enough.
  2. Aside from Dan waxing on about how Monica keeps a supply in her purse I got to tell ya that Rolos were nearly my favorite childhood food. Now they are spackle filled PVC pucks as compared to the subject at hand.
  3. I did not buy these double-disc textured mat-board long-book German issues of Sonny Rollins, Monk, Bud, Blakey, Getz, Miles etc, etc, yesterday. Boy they looked quite nice for $11.99 each. They seemed to be a culling of hits and such from various labels... Monk were the Blue Notes, Miles the Prestige and so on. Anyone seen these sets?
  4. I think some nice pumpkin ravioli with a carmelized onion and gorgonzola sauce and whatever else is lying around might be nice with some humongous syrah.
  5. So Dan can you describe eating one of those caramel filled Hershey Kisses for us ... just to get back to the topic!!!
  6. Maybe some of you who are more musically charmed than I can tell me what I should be hearing that is so great in the playing of Roy Campbell? I recently perused the Penguin and see that he studied w/ Lee Morgan and Cook and Morton even give him great accolades. Fine as a colorist but for me any session I hear with him in support is usually sunk when he spotlites. I'm trying to make some rationale for this guy but I just can't.
  7. Jack Bruce appears on just about every Hanrahan project and there are quite a load. Definitely hit and miss and hard to take at times but well worth grabbing if seen for short change. The sounds outweigh Kip's drudgery considering the wealth of talent he pools for the sessions. "Mario's In (Shadow Song)" from VC being one of my all time favorites for Murray blowing heavy latin. If you do have a chance, please listen to "Rawalpindhi Blues" from Paul Haines 'Darn It' with Bruce and Don Pullen giving his most incredible workout on record IMO. You can check out a bunch of pages here:American Clave.
  8. Nice!!! "Hit the Road, Jack" video stream here!
  9. Since your'e in So LA(X) I'll chip: 'Poor Little Critter On The Road' Love that "Wreckin' Ball"
  10. And ya know this begs the question: "What do you get when you cross an Elephant and a Rhino?" "Elephino"
  11. Get a load a dem apples!
  12. I was thinking of Herb Alewife but he was hard of herring.
  13. I don't know? Looks like Big Joe Turner at the Blue Note to me. RRROY!
  14. I sure wish someone would animate that crazy Dobie dude at left. As for "Ether" .... I propose a backwards post count ... 100, 99, 98, 97, 9....zzzzzzzzz
  15. Sweet stuff!!! The "fav things" quote was a nice touch on this new one. As for holiday cover tunes I've always tossed Clark's "Nicely" onto xmas tapes. Just feels snowy to me.
  16. SPAM is usually crap you don't need. This is about finding shit you do. cause "The Devil is On the Loose and Dancing with a Monkey"! ... just where you gonna find that?
  17. WTF! izzat supposed to be a wolverine eating a chestnut? I'm rootin' for the guys at the State Penn.
  18. Hank Williams Jr. is pornography.
  19. There is of course two sides to every story: http://www.exoticdancer.com/fanfair/bikini...n%20Fair019.jpg
  20. Jim, thanks for the link. I'll be joining CBall Addict @ "exoticdancer.com"
  21. Begs for Jim's "which one is not like the others?" I'm voting #010 ... poor thing. my favorite tho must be that paba-ratzi w/ the camo aussie hat and the white sox in birkenstocks.
