Too bad Columbia did not include this one in the upcoming batch of re-issues ... A couple of the tracks made it to CD on the cleverly titled "Jazz Moods - Hot" Hubbard compilation of last year. It is actually an excellent CD - includes a bunch of CTI tracks in addition to the Super Blue tracks.

Somehow, I have never gotten around to investigating Frank. The size of his catalog is overwhelming and I really don't care to follow what AMG says. So, FZ fans, where should I start?? The only album I am remotely familiar with is Zoot Alures, which a buddy had in high school, but that was many years ago ...

That is the answer - manually load songs to your iPod. I have 4 iPods (mine and my kids) that work off one library. Everybody gets to drag whatever they want to their own iPod.

As Paul mentions, a good time was had by one and all. Kudos to Craig for putting up with us, particularly on this big day for him It was quite a kick to hear the details from Chuck about the "the find" ... I felt like I was about nine and huddling with my buddies over baseball cards! One of the best stories came from Free For All Paul, whose lovely wife JoDee also plays the trombone - classical however, not jazz. Prior to marrying JoDee, Paul lived above a bakery in Chicago. After she moved in with him, the folks at the bakery apparently commented, "so when did you forget how to swing?" Anyway, it was a blast and Chuck, I'm glad you took the time to look us up. And Ann, I hope you got your ribs!!! Eric
