  1. The spokesperson for compassionate conservatism. If that's a humble opinion, I'd hate to see one he's proud of. Yeah, it is...I care for her..the kids are shit...don't believe this is "just" mob mentality...anyone recall any of your friends doing shit like this? This isn't TP'ing a house, bashing someone....behind their back....This was all about making an old woman cry, keeping the pressure on her, and being PROUD of it. Don't know if they know she was a widow, a Mom who had a son commit suicide a decade before. I'm amazed after a day like this, she didn't end it all. This is right up there with kids killing kittens or puppies. Some sick fucks that there is little to no hope for. Parents will have to do something drastic IF there is a chance to change their courses...
  2. What could she do to stop the kids from doing anything??? She would get in trouble. IMHO, those kids are completely worthless, and might as well do the the world a favor and die...now. Go ahead and say kids have always been the same...bullshit. I bullied a few kids, I was bullied by a few kids...Never, in a million years would I or anyone I knew taunt a sweet old lady like this. And clearly someone was so proud of their achievement, they put it on the web. Completely useless, worthless fucker. Only good thing in this sad story is that more than 200K has been raised for her...
  3. A Las Vegas man who suffers from a rare condition that made his scrotum swell to 100 pounds is basking in the fame that his giant organ has brought him. In fact, the attention is proving so intoxicating that Wesley Warren Jr turned down an offer to perform the $1 million corrective surgery for free because he would have had to give up the rights to his story. A second doctor has agreed to waive most of the cost for the procure, but Mr Warren still hasn't taken him up on the offer. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2161294/Wesley-Warren-Jr-Man-100-pound-scrotum-REJECTS-free-1m-corrective-surgery.html
  4. 5 perfect games(6 if you count the Armando Galarraga's game) since 2009, 17 in all the years before(Wait, knowing Quincy, he will mention that there were two in 1880 ) alright, 19 in the previous 120+ years...no explainin' it!
  5. The Braves are 34-27, in spite of going....0-9 on Mondays! Go figure that one out...Was looking forward to interleague play for once as the team was on a roll. Beat the Jays Fri and Sat, then Sunday came along. Knocked Ricky Romero out, were up 4-1 in the 5th, then Julio Teheran(You know, one of the 3 "untouchable" starters, the next Pedro we are told) ran into some trouble, gave up a run, had the bases loaded...so naturally, you don't let him figure out if he is good enough to get out of a jam, and in comes....Livan Hernandez. He hadn't pitched in 13 days, and can't throw harder than 84, so what better pitcher do you want in with the bases loaded? So, after giving up only 5 hits, the inning ended. Braves down 6-4. Super smart manager, Freddi Gonzalez(he truly learned every stupid move Bobby Cox had up his sleeve) leaves him in for the next inning, and he gives up 3 more runs on 2 homers. 9-4. Game was basically over. Reporters dared to question him and he had the balls to say , “Who else would you like me to go with? If you give me a suggestion we can talk about it. I could have brought in [Craig] Kimbrel there. Some of the SABR people thought that would be a good spot. In these situations, the fifth inning of a game, is a perfect situation for [Hernandez] with all the experience he can wiggle out of there. He’s not going to spook in that situation. They got him. You have to tip your hat to the Toronto Blue Jays.” MORON! Truly Bobby Cox's heir. I think it's part of the reason they looked so flat against the Yankees last night. That, and it was Monday...of course, one of the 3 overrated guys is starting tonight, Mike Minor, who wouldn't be up with the big club on any other team, but you know, you NEED a left handed starter! His ERA is in the mid 6's? He should do just fine against the Yankees tonight. A Moral victory would be if he someone survives 5 innings, more likely he will be knocked out after say... 1 2/3.
  6. I just liked facebook. It's swell! someone just put up a version of I've Got Rhythm , by the Happenings.(ok it sucked, but still, never heard it before) Saw a friend post a pic of Loretta Young dolled up like Nefertiti for her tv show, saw via tv shows on Dvd that there is...The Carol Burnett Show - Press Release for 'The UltimateCollection' 22-DVD Set. A couple of gals wanted some imput, via look swimwear...wanted to know if they looked good in a bikini. I was glad to do my part to boost their confidence. Flickchick posted some cool Louise Brooks clips, a nice photo of Gloria Swanson....saw what Dagmar Midcap was up to recently(google her, she won't mind!) plus some semi interesting posts from friends... I NEED TO WASTE TIME!
  7. Was just listening to Pandora, and this song showed up....its on a Classics cd called Complementary tracks....did some googling...couldn't find out any real info on her...looks like she sang on a Count Basie track or two, and with Cootie Williams & His Rug Cutters...but what about her band? How long did she have it? How long was she around the music biz? Thanks for any info.
  8. They really are doing well, and they are missing their #1 and #2 closers, Worth, Morse(2/3rds of what was supposed to be the starting outfield) and the starting catcher. I bet they win the NL East. the Braves on the other hand... they were in a tie for best team in the East..then...lost 8 games in a row, now in a tie for last place. sure, their have been injuries, and sicknesses(strangest injury, Freddie Freeman scratched his corneas rubbing his eyes while at a windy game in Denver a few weeks back, and he's had problems seeing the ball ever since ) Chipper had a leg contusion that he just had minor surgery on(only guy on DL) but this is ridiculous! Whole team is failing, bullpen(though I imagine it's in part to do with being overworked last year) starters, Jair Jurrjens is still in AAA, Mike Minor has a May ERA barely under 10, but he's a Lefty, so keep running him out there... And the other kids that are so very spectacular , you couldn't dream of trading them...well, Randall Delgado is "ok" looking...he has a good changeup. Julio Terhan is probably the one with the highest ceiling...still, I never quite see what they say he has, upper 90's fastball. Braves are hitting like the did in September, meaning, not at all. Jason Heyward...looks better at the plate, but the fact is he's hitting .236 with 6 Hr's . I sure hope he isn't a bust, and he is young...but Giancarlo (sp) Stanton looks miles above him as a hitter now...Anyway...enough about the braves, in short, they suck....

  10. It's showing 2010, and from the instructions to the 1040, so who knows how accurate it is...but anyway...
  11. Yeah, caught some of that before watching a movie...how can he, in his mid 80's, still do the work of 2 broadcasters??? I was also thinking how someone , say 20 years old in 1950, could have listened to him do Brooklyn Dodger games, now, 62 plus years later, flips through the channels late night in May of 2012, and hears him still broadcasting Dodger games...
  12. yes and one begins to dream... Don't you guys mean... the Windians???
  13. I'm going to go with definitely not a real beach. Why do you say that?
  14. Heh, reminds me of Abe Vigoda's "death" many years ago. he's still alive, in case anyone was wondering...
  15. You probably don't need new reasons to dislike Newt Gingrich, but he says "Warshington." My Dad is from Missouri (Missoura to some ) and he and his Mom always said Cincinnata and ....warsh. HATE Warsh! My Dad took a quarter away from me every time I said Ain't, so I wanted to take a quarter away from him every time he said Warsh. Didn't happen though. I stopped saying ain't, he never stopped saying Warsh, no matter how many times I said, how do you spell that??? A certain president has trouble with Corpsmen
  16. It's his fastball, IMHO. Check out his average speed. I heard early on this year that hitters in the west didn't fear his fastball, which meant they didn't fear the speed between it, and his changup.I don't see him pitch that often, but back in the day...he would bring a 96-97 fastball up if he needed a big out. even when I see someone swing and miss, it's usually a perfectly placed pitch outside, perhaps a bit high, but it's 91-92 now. I know they must worry about him "bulking" up, and not being able to keep the same funky delivery, but I think if he is to have a long term career, he needs to build up his slight frame. He's too young to be losing speed off his fastball every year.
  17. i dug thru a few pages of comments, saw this, but hey, don't take it as gospel! His regular bassist, Eddie Calhoun, with Kelly Martin on drums. Also, if you click on the link below to the youtubers blog, I bet you could ask him to make sure....
  18. His swing truly is like no one else. I'd love to see those sports science guys see how fast his hands are moving thru the hitting zone. Sometimes I can't really tell where on the bat he hit the ball! Compare his swing the "slow" swing of Chipper Jones. Works for Chipper at 40 still, but you'd swear half the time he hits a homer, he didn't really get all of it. (I think Chipper swings the heaviest bat in baseball, and that's what give the ball much of it's flight) If Josh hadn't taken the drug detour, he'd likely have a HOF career. Here's hoping he can put enough good seasons together that he still can...
  19. Ok, I just thought it sounded like you would have to put the glass of water out the night before...putting a bottle of water, say on top of the dog food, less likely to forget!
  20. If there is one, and I've missed it, sorry! The youtube thread is still going,(and a 90 + minute long Miles Davis concert is a recent addition) but few posts, and no one comments anymore it seems. Anyway, came across two interesting live tv shows, (nice that youtube finally allows longer clips to be uploaded) Here's a very good quality tv show from England in 1965 of Jimmy Smith. 30 minutes. Same uploader also put up this 35 minute clip of Erroll Garner on a roll in 1964. see even more interesting stuff in the sidebar...but what have "you" found of late????
