  1. Yeah. Forgot that. I guess the other small group stuff is mainly RCA.
  2. 2 disc Brunswick set? The Brunswick stuff is on "Early Ellington". A 3 cd set that is out on Decca. I think it's still available.
  3. I enjoyed the book and will definitly see the flick first chance. I think the law suit in Great Britain was settled in Dan Brown's favor. The book stores are loaded with with related "Da Vinci" material, but I haven't so far latched on to any. For those of you who read "Angels And Demons"......(also a fascinating read)...the same template, but different subject matter.
  4. YEAH ! He caught my attention too !
  5. LOL. I listen to them once and then eat them.
  6. Same here. It's a superb set with some stuff you just aren't likely to find anywhere else.
  7. Smith and Wesson Laurel and Hardy Martin and Lewis
  8. Oscar Castro-Neves? (just the last part) Neh-vez Nico Assumpcao? (bassist) Ah-sump-cow
  9. Nice work Mike. Thanks.

  11. LOL. It's definitely not The Sopranos of old and as I've said before - they're treading water. BUT..............I keep watching and the hour still goes by too quickly. As proof of my treading water theory: The most interesting plot development was in the previews. It looks like Johnny Sac is going to sing, and when he does - that's when we're going to get Sopranos we've been waiting for.
  12. I had to hit null vote. Jim Sangrey has it right.
  13. YEAH ! I"M ALRIGHT. Grassella's playing - NO Ben Dixon. I'm so used to Ben being the drummer with John Patton And G.G,. that my brain completely glossed over the fact that Grassella is A DRUMMER! OK. To correct myself - I hear differences in Grassella's playing from one chorus to the other. Also, FWIW - they play the head twice on "Got A Good Thing Goin'"
  14. It's definitely not a splice. The horns are sustaining right through the vamp where it goes from the first chorus to the second and I hear differences in Ben Dixon's playing, particlularly on that accented part towards the end of each chorus. I think I will score the cd. I don't have Grasella's other album plus "Grass Is Greener" may be an entire "alternate" album!
  15. Now I have an excuse to spend even MORE money on cds !
  16. Mine is Atlantic mono 1494. I didn't time it but the jacket says 6:35.
  17. OK, mystery deepens. I have the Japanese CD (AMCY1285) and they play the head once. So that's the same as the new CD. I have the original LP, as well, and they play the head ONCE! WTF? MG THAT is strange. Now the thing is somebody who has both versions has to listen to see if it's a different take. My lp is mono. Maybe the mono and stereo have different takes? If so - GREAT !
  18. I have a vinyl copy of "The Grass Is Greener" that I bought back in the day. They play the head twice. That's a shitty thing to edit. On this tune the head is really setting up the whole solo thing.
  19. Back it up and burn it again ! LOL
  20. I'm not a good dancer at all....but I wish I were.. I don't really know many musicians that ARE good dancers. Maybe because we were always doing gigs and watching other people dance.

If you mean the organist from Paterson, NJ. He is known by both names.
  23. Great. Remember last season when she grabbed a submachine gun and dispatched a few bad guys? Revenge of the computer nerds.
