I've never had one. I didn't need one while in the military, and haven't left the country since. Kind of sad, but then in a country this size you can do a lot of traveling without hitting the borders, I guess.

I got most of my friends to promise to do the same for me. With the look they had in their eyes, I wouldn't dare...

An interesting oldie thread... You know, the closer I get to "none of the above" (due to the old receding hair line), the more tempted I am to just pick up some clippers at KMart or somewhere and just give myself a buzz every couple of weeks. Seems to be a big waste of time and money anymore, although I've always felt that way to a large extent. Letting it grow out and walking around with a ponytail doesn't seem to be the solution anymore, so why not just get rid of it?

Allentown man charged in two homicides
Jazzmoose replied to GA Russell's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
That is just plain bizarre... -
I would imagine I'd be too nervous to eat anyway, but if not, salad, a ribeye with sauted mushrooms, baked potato, green beans, brocolli (raw) and a cabernet, followed by coffee and cheesecake. And finally, something I could eat forever without finishing or getting full...

Shipping a Box set from the US to the UK

The best combination of "cheap", "easy" and "reliable" I've found is the USPS. But then I think they kinda fudged the rules for me (or, more likely, didn't know what they were doing) in Pineville. At least it was always cheaper than going to the Alexandria PO. -
Life After People - A History Channel Special

Yeah, I caught this a couple of nights ago. Seems to me I'd already seen this info on a website somewhere, but stuck here with dial-up, I'll be damned if I'm going to look for it! Pretty interesting stuff, particularly how fast plants take over buildings. -
Right now it's about four degrees F, or -15C, if I'm doing the math right. Half a foot of snow on the ground, and supposed to be in the teens tomorrow. Strangely enough, this doesn't make me miss Louisiana. Of course, those of you who have seen central Louisiana might not find this strange at all...

Hmmm...the ads for this one caught my eye (yes, I've actually watched television since I arrived in Oregon; not much to do when it doesn't get over 20 F and you've never driven in snow before...), but if it's by the guy who did Magnolia, I might pass. Magnolia seemed to me to be a long joke related by someone with no sense of humor; in other hands it could have been funny, but it was too silly to be serious. Does that make sense?

Somehow Scientologists are more qualified to help people in car accidents, or something. That's because they know how to remove Thetans from your fuel injectors, without even using STP! Of course, Cruise may be using STP anyway, but I'm not talking about the gas treatment...

E, I, S, F, G -- what can it mean??

What a killjoy; he doesn't even give us time to come up with the usual lame joke responses before he gives the right answer... -
Well, I made it to Oregon. It's cold, snow is on the ground, and I have no idea what I'm doing here. I'm at my parents place, with a dial-up connection, so I'm not really back yet. Dial-up is just a bit too frustrating for me. Anyway, it was a safe trip (other than a three day layover in Pheonix with engine problems), so I thought I'd sign on and pass on the news. More eventually....

Guess who? Just checking in. I was beginning to annoy the front desk people, so they gave me the computer password and told me to go play on the computer for a while! I'm in Abilene, Texas, so I did pretty well the first day, about 500 miles. On target and all that. I must admit, I feel better just getting out of Louisiana, although sitting alone in a hotel room after all those years together is a bit depressing. Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in and give an update...more later!
-
Everything is just about packed and loaded in the van; time to unplug the computer and load it up as well. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I'd feel a lot better about this move if I didn't hear this voice in the back of my head saying "A new life awaits you in the offworld colonies...a chance to begin again!" Anyway, see y'all soon; take care!

I'll be damned; I had no idea... Thanks for the link!

That better not be a link to "Two girls one cup"... -
...I came here assuming I'd see threads about Aric and you guys are talking about music!

I don't have any Presley; can I play some McManus instead?

Women who wear a lot of perfume rarely stay near me; I have a bad habit of sneezing on them. -
