Hmm..now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever heard Barb say piss, and she does look at me funny when I do...but then she's always a perfect lady, unless she's behind the wheel! I'll never forget the day someone cut her off, and "goddamn fucking son of a bitch" came flying out before she caught herself. Me? I was absolutely rolling....fortunately, she saw the humor fast enough to spare my worthless life...

I keep seeing references to Ashlee Simpson's "show"; isn't this the girl that's in the cast of Seventh Heaven? Or am I confused again? (I'm not sure as I'm not allowed to watch the darn thing. It's my wife's favorite drama; I made the mistake of thinking it was an over-the-top screwball comedy, and apparently my constant laughter was found to be insulting...)

I started at five. Didn't stick with it, either. I usually start playing whenever I change jobs. I suck at first, of course, as I'm totally out of practice, but eventually start kicking ass. Then it gets boring again. I probably should have gotten serious about it like Paul, but at this point, I doubt there's enough "learning curve" left in my decrepit grey matter.

I haven't listened to the James sides yet, but the Krupa is not a must-have in my opinion. The only other Krupa I have has Roy Eldridge and Anita O'Day, so the comparison isn't really fair, but still... I'm saving the Harry James for another time, so I can't comment on that.

Perhaps that exact phrase hasn't been used, but come on, if you haven't seen anything insulting to Kenny G. on this board, you really need to check out the parts of the board you're skipping! Of course, he's also the wrong example because, as tedious as his music may be, he still actually plays it, you know. Not that this is a good thing, mind you.... Personally, I'm reasonably certain that if some male pop tart had been in this situation, he'd have been raked over the coals as well. In other words, you're seeing sexism that isn't there.
