I've done it both ways (and owned a comic book store at one point), and assuming you've had these for years (meaning you're going to make some serious profit no matter which way you choose), I'd probably go with selling to a dealer; selling them yourself, even on eBay, is a lot more work than it looks like, and then at the end, you're stuck with the dogs anyway. The problem, of course, is your being away from the scene for so long and so not having any connections to find a dealer you can trust (because, as you probably suspect, some of them can't be). If you're in the Bay Area in California, I could steer you in the right direction, but elsewhere I can't help.

Okay, for the most part I nailed the ones I was unsure about and blew the ones I was sure about. Doesn't say much for my prognostication...

You know what really drives me bonkers about sports writing today? One sentence paragraphs. I don't know; maybe they hear themselves narrarating for NFL Films in their heads, but it drives me nuts to see a sports article start out with two one sentence paragraphs, and then when you finally make it to the third paragraph and think "whew; they got that out of their system" you realize that the third paragraph is just one clumsily constructed run-on sentence, and that paragraph is just another one sentence paragraph. Then it's back to the obvious one sentence paragraphs. Ferkin' stoopid.

I haven't read too many novels by him; that's too bad. On the other hand, as good as Childhood's End was, it's understandable. Actually, growing up I think there were times when I preferred his science fact writing. That's the way I felt about Asimov, believe it or not.
