  1. Okay, for the most part I nailed the ones I was unsure about and blew the ones I was sure about. Doesn't say much for my prognostication...
  2. Oops...I thought it was an easy week. Well, it's about time for my annual swoon to the cellar, isn't it? Okay, I just looked again...nevermind. I must have been thinking about a different week!
  3. I have the same problem; good thing my ex gave them back...
  4. Well, Reid's job should be safe then.
  5. So...Aggie can be caught!
  6. Boris Karloff Karla Bonoff Officer Krupke
  7. I think I like this pool better when I work on Sunday and can't actually follow the games...too much stress!
  8. Damn. Another loss for the Falcons already?
  9. You know what really drives me bonkers about sports writing today? One sentence paragraphs. I don't know; maybe they hear themselves narrarating for NFL Films in their heads, but it drives me nuts to see a sports article start out with two one sentence paragraphs, and then when you finally make it to the third paragraph and think "whew; they got that out of their system" you realize that the third paragraph is just one clumsily constructed run-on sentence, and that paragraph is just another one sentence paragraph. Then it's back to the obvious one sentence paragraphs. Ferkin' stoopid.
  10. Calgary-65 I think this is the first time I got in before the choices for points were 15 or 80...
  11. Okay, maybe I'm crazy, but look at Cincy's schedule and tell me they can't make a wild card slot.
  12. I hate it and miss the old layout. You know, just like I will next update...
  13. Is Roethlisberger that good? I mean, take away him (and Timmons, of course!), and the Steelers are the same as the Chiefs??
  14. That took me a minute... So much for the Falcons going undefeated in the regular season. Not that I expected that to happen, but it was a damned nice run!
  15. Jim Mongo Hedley Lamarr
  16. I haven't read too many novels by him; that's too bad. On the other hand, as good as Childhood's End was, it's understandable. Actually, growing up I think there were times when I preferred his science fact writing. That's the way I felt about Asimov, believe it or not.
  17. Harry Crumb Harry Lime Charles the Bald
  18. At the rate I'm going, I'm about six months away from thinking that's the best thing I've ever bought.
  19. Buster Crabbe Catfish Hunter Kilgore Trout
  20. Watched the first two episodes of Planet Earth tonight. I've never seen these before; some pretty amazing stuff.
  21. Romeo y Julieta H. Upmann Ramon Allones
  22. Not really a Giants fan (or much of a baseball fan anymore) but hooray for Bochy! Some of the familiar names are still around, even if they're in odd places...
  23. None taken; I knew that was the reason. We prefer our sports odd and complicated. Now that cricket thing has some possibilities; I can't figure it out for shit.
  24. Jud Crandall Max Green Judge Haller
