  1. I'd pretty much quit drinking beer until I moved to Oregon. Can't say I'm a regular drinker now, but what I find here I enjoy.
  2. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/charles-durning-oscar-nominated-king-of-the-character-actors-has-died-at-89-in-ny/2012/12/25/6ed89de0-4e67-11e2-835b-02f92c0daa43_story.html I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago (during my umpteenth viewing of The Sting) that this man has been in a lot of amazing movies.
  3. If I had a vote, it would go to Peterson, with no hesitation.
  4. Congratulations. I would have posted sooner, but from that first post, I wasn't sure how you felt about it!
  5. Henry Orient Ed Ames Bill Steer
  6. I had my first and last Michelob in 1977. I'm glad the rest of the country finally noticed the obvious...
  7. I really should give Moorcock a try sometime; all I've ever read by him is Behold the Man.
  8. I understand people having that gut reaction, but come on, that's their job. It's what they're supposed to do. If the Jets think trading Tebow or Sanchez is the answer to their problems, they still don't have a clue. Unless part of the deal is a gun to the head, what GM would take either of these? Sanchez is at best a has-been, although that still puts him in a category over Tebow. The Broncos were lucky enough to find someone dumber than they are, but the Jets will be damned lucky to find anyone stupid enough to take either of these players. Of course, Oakland is always a possibility...
  9. Then it better be late in the day; that's my next day off.
  10. You mean there's a possibility that some NFL players are using steroids? I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
  11. Well, you didn't run the table, but still, that was an impressive week!
  12. Bash Brannigan Charles Firbank Stanley Ford
  13. I can't wait; then people will quit talking about this BS.
  14. Biggest loser of the week: Alex Smith. It's over, dude.
  15. Ouch ouch ouch...well, first place was fun while it lasted. I wasn't getting too comfortable since I've finished in the cellar every year I've participated so far.
  16. I've got to say before the games get going, I'm shocked that only two of us picked Baltimore. That was the toughest game to pick of the week for me. Which isn't to say I got it right... SS1; where are you?
  17. Suart Wenn Tony Dell Albert Holmes
  18. Kirsty Alley Della Street Dusty Rhodes
  19. I just looked at this week's games...can I take a bye week?
  20. I kind of liked it... Of course there was that moment when I turned the computer on today at 2 PM, saw nothing but red and wondering who we thought we were trying to pick football games...
  21. Don Kirshner Don Pardo Vito Corleone
  22. Your team has Aldon Smith. Your complaining privileges are revoked.
  23. I've done it both ways (and owned a comic book store at one point), and assuming you've had these for years (meaning you're going to make some serious profit no matter which way you choose), I'd probably go with selling to a dealer; selling them yourself, even on eBay, is a lot more work than it looks like, and then at the end, you're stuck with the dogs anyway. The problem, of course, is your being away from the scene for so long and so not having any connections to find a dealer you can trust (because, as you probably suspect, some of them can't be). If you're in the Bay Area in California, I could steer you in the right direction, but elsewhere I can't help.
