I still think you're being a bit of a jerk, Alexander, but you'll be able to return the insult when David Spade dies of ignorant condescending smugness and I piss all over his thread. Believe me, 'modestly talented hack actor' will be a glowing review compared to my comments at that time...
Yeah, this isn't the civilized coastal part of the state; east of the Cascades it's more like Idaho and Montana. Cold, barren, and pretty much empty of people.
It got up near 30F today, which means more snow, of course...
It's really silly stuff, like mentioning the WTC twin towers 'still standing' at one point, the character 'listening to CDs', and such; stuff that adds absolutely nothing to the book.
It warmed up to freezing today, so tomorrow should be pure ice. More snow coming as well. I now start screaming whenever I hear California Dreamin', and not for the same reason you do.
I have to go with the obvious: Morgan/Shorter/Timmons/Merrit. Some of the first jazz I 'discovered' (decades after it happened...) and still a favorite. In fact, through in the Hubbard stuff, and you've got 90% of the jazz I've heard in the last year.
This is as much of a dream as David's A-Rod scenario, but I'd like to see the Yankees say "you know, baseball really can't take much more of this, and we've decided to tighten our belt a bit and let Jeter explore his options elsewhere..." Even $20M a year is too much for more than a couple of years.
