  1. Damn cages...
  2. Thanks for the link; excellent tale! Although I could have done without the photos of the conspirators...
  3. Marty Feldman Ernest Borgnine Oscar Wilde
  4. Keyser Soze Suzie Q M
  5. I must have gone through a case of Tobasco when I was thirteen...
  6. I've never heard of it; I must see it!
  7. I've never read it in French (it's a crime in the U.S. to know more than one language...), but that was my favorite, followed by The Fall. I read it first as an impressionable teen, so it became a big influence on my thinking, for better or worse.
  8. You had me until this statement, Jim. Yeah, it's harsh, but then I've always maintained that Greg should have got the motorcycle, so what can I say?
  9. Kathy Seldon Don Lockwood Cosmo Brown
  10. You know, I picked up a copy of that in '76, and still haven't read it... I guess it was the tail end of my Camus obsession, and I just never got to it. But I transport it from place to place rather than getting rid of it, so I guess there's still hope.
  11. Well, I'm not into first printings except for particular favorites, like this one. In general, it's the cover design and such that attracts me. Although, if it's not an author or book I enjoy for the content, it's hard to justify adding a book to the shelves. What I have is more of an accumulation than a collection, really. I've collected comic books, coins, stamps, and vintage paperbacks in the past; I'm kind of between obsessions at the moment. This has mixed results; I feel like something is missing, but on the other hand, I'm not broke all the time...
  12. I just noticed something interesting on the pool site. You see the blurb urging you to check 'our experts' picks before making your own? I just looked; the 'expert' with the best record on straight up games would be solidly in last place in our pool. That makes me feel a little better!
  13. Keith Hopwood Karl Green Derek Leckenby
  14. A thin year for me; the collecting bug is kind of dormant right now. Well, not completely; I did finally find a first printing of Ten Years to Doomsday by Anderson & Kurland. No biggie, but I've wanted it for decades, so it was cool.
  15. Jeez, I hated the caveman adds from the first time I saw one. I have to confess to liking the gecko, though. This one? Absolutely outrageous the first time; I don't know how it would stand up to multiple plays.
  16. I got New Years Eve, but it's work for the other days. Frankly, now that I'm on my own, I prefer it that way.
  17. Dusty Springfield: Son of a Preacher Man. Holy shit...
  18. Damn it, no one told me Aaron Rodgers was back!
  19. Moses Malone Lone Sloane The Lone Ranger

  21. Well, he was there a couple of seasons before Soo died; I think he was there to take up the slack when Vigoda had his Fish spinoff and cut back on the Barney Miller appearances at first. It's a shame that only the first three episodes are available on DVD. Most of the Landesberg episodes haven't been released yet (if ever). He was definitely my favorite of the series (although it's all good), so that's a disappointment.
  22. If you want to feel old, remember that this is old news. People were talking about the decline of email years ago.
  23. Stewart Copeland Julian Cope Wilco
