    I bought a copy yesterday. It's a hip swinging album, recorded in New York. If it was on the radio, I don't think I'd know it was an ECM release.

    Fred Frith and Arte Quartett The Big Picture (Intakt) + Fred Frith and Arte Quartett: Still Urban (Intakt) I'm a big fan of his saxophone quartets, so naturally I love these two albums of sax qt. The Big Picture has an expanded version of Freedom in Fragments.

    Tony Williams isn't really the kind of drummer that would work with El Becko anyway. I could imagine Billy Cobham, because Beck's played with a bunch of drummers influenced by him. I head Tony at the Bottom Line on a mini-tour with Jan Hammer once.
