  1. This is funny, from the New Yorker. J.R. Smith and the Perils Of Playing with LeBron
  2. One of my favorite pre-BN records is A Long Tall Drink Of The Blues, especially where the musicians heatedly discuss the rhythm. 4,5,6 is another good one.
  3. Thanks but I don’t see anything on their site.
  4. I was listening to Art Pepper’s Live at Fat Tuesday today and took a look at the Elemental Music web site and there doesn’t seem to be many jazz issues since 2016. Is anything going on with them?
  5. Isn’t he a jazz musician, writer and educator?
  6. I put salt on a few pieces before and let it sink in before I ate it. I can't say it did anything for me.
  7. So true. Maybe he should have untied Curry's sneakers. With JR, sometimes brilliant, sometimes goofy. He will bite you in the end.
  8. I was shocked by that one but maybe they’re going to revamp the team; he didn’t want to be a part of that. In addition, maybe he figured I can’t do any better than I have so let’s leave on top. I read Guti is a strong possibility. There was also mention of Wenger.
  9. What was J.R. thinking. Not too much, apparently. As a Knicks fan, only too familiar with his nuttiness. This was a game the Cavs could have won, probably should have won.
  10. I missed out on this one somehow
  11. For sure! I never voted for that fool Nonetheless, he’s an embarrassment.
  12. Why would you put salt on something naturally sweet? That makes no sense to me. I understand salting something that tastes bland but watermelon isn’t bland. Note: after I posted the above, I saw a few articles saying that salt makes the watermelon sweeter by driving the sweetness to the top. It’s also a Southern thing, although not exclusively.
  13. Here is Booker Ervin, Part 3 There will be one more part.
  14. My apologies for the idiot who runs this country.
  15. From a postal point of view, America is actually near the end, USA.
  16. Eating breakfast and thinking about the breakdown of moral norms in our country. Time to empty the brain.
  17. Listened to PS with Love. It’s pleasant enough but it’s not blowing me away. His playing on the songs the second session is more interesting and varied than the ones on the first. It may be awhile before I listen to it.
  18. I’m from the East Coast and that is very strange.
