  1. I have to think that it would have been a different match had Salah not been injured. The goalie’s two mistakes are unforgivable. I imagine Klopp will be looking for a new one soon.
  2. Reducing inventory and, thus, costs is part of a strategy but it can't be your only course of action. I've been wondering what might be in the pipeline.
  3. Unfortunately I missed most of the second half; I had to pick my nephew up from the train station and didn’t record the game properly so I only saw it up to 1-1. A satisfying result and I assume Zidane has saved his job after the fiasco of the La Liga season.
  4. A very strange goal but we’ll take it.
  5. As if arms being held have never happened before. Losing Carvajal is not minor for RM.
  6. Liverpool have suffered a big blow as Salah goes out with an injury.
  7. Several years ago, the label had a US rep who would send me updates about their latest issues and I think his prices were better than Amazon or CD Universe. I think he was based in Chicago. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Is he still around?
  8. I think they want to avoid the big stage at this point. After all, it is Yankee Stadium and there is a lot of hype about this series. If the Angels make the playoffs (a big if), there will be time enough for a matchup.
  9. Continuing to watch this. The last two episodes have been very good. I’m actually enjoying the parts about Picasso when he was younger than the later periods. Apollinaire is one of the interesting characters in Picasso’s life.
  10. I seriously doubt that the Angels are thinking that far ahead about a WC game (especially when the Yankees will probably win the division). I follow the Angels (along with the Mets) and they probably didn’t want to expose him to that joke of a right field fence or get caught up in the hype. As far as Michael Kay goes, I would take anything he says with 10 grains of salt.
  11. His Blue Note dates were very good. I have three of his SteepleChase CDs and they’re not bad — The Bopsmith is probably the best. Not as good as the BN sides but worth a listen.
  12. I believe it had to do with a vesting option for 2019 based on combined plate appearances for 2017 and 2018, which he was on his way to meeting.
  13. I now understand what you mean but the physical and other considerations (financial) always affect the music. Nothing operates in a vacuum.
  14. I really have no idea what that means. Could you please elaborate.
  15. In the internet age, where you have a lot of information (too much, in my opinion, because how can you consume it all), I'll bet that number has gone down.
  16. In the pre streaming world, how was an album (LP, and then CD) be an artificial construct? There was only so much music you could put on the medium then being used. In the streaming era, you may have a point, although the amount of music may be dependent on how much music the artist wants to release (how much will the buying public want to hear) or the label (unless self released) thinks should be released.
  17. For me, box sets are a different animal. In each cd, you're obviously going to get 60 minutes plus and different albums. In box sets I have no problem with lengthy cds.
  18. I like them when they’re 40-45 minutes. I think that’s a good length.
  19. Thanks a lot. I was looking at the Legends disc as well as a Buddy Tate one.
  20. Thanks. Worth buying, in your opinion? I saw a couple of CDs on eBay that looked a little interesting.
  21. Anyone? I believe it’s a French label.
