  1. I had not seen that thread but will take a look. The concept of paying money for a CDR leaves me cold.
  2. Mets have DFA’ed Harvey. Sadly, it’s about time.
  3. eBay is ok with anything except maybe selling body parts.
  4. I was thinking of reporting it to eBay (although the seller says he's authorized). I'd report it to the label but it appears defunct.
  5. I came across this old thread on the Hoffmann Forum about CDRs. http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/amazon-now-selling-legitimate-cdrs-of-oop-cds.175981/ Paying money for a CDR is not for me.
  6. Steve, please pardon my ignorance, but does the Classics label not exist anymore?
  7. I had a conversation on eBay with a seller of a Herman Chittison Classics cd, listed as a cdr. He said this was a cdr authorized by the owner of Classics. He indicated the CD and artwork are copies of the original. That you can sell a cdr strikes me as odd.
  8. Great disc. Listening to The Soulful Mood Of Gene Ammons, with Patti Bown.
  9. The Classics seem to be out of stock or expensive to purchase.
  10. I plan on combining mine and maybe picking them up in Stamford.
  11. Apparently, the Spanish press thinks the final is a mismatch.
  12. I was listening too and was fascinated by what I heard, especially as I never heard of him before. I’ve looked online and there seems to be little available or it’s expensive. I, too, would appreciate suggestions.
  13. Is selling cdrs on eBay legal. I saw a couple of Classics CDs I might be interested in and the seller described it as a CDR. Does it make a difference if the recording is now in the public domain?
  14. The below are the Pennsylvania evidentiary rules on prior bad acts for those who may be interested: Crimes, Wrongs or Other Acts. (1) Prohibited Uses. Evidence of a crime, wrong, or other act is not admissible to prove a person’s character in order to show that on a particular occasion the person acted in accordance with the character. (2) Permitted Uses. This evidence may be admissible for another purpose, such as proving motive, opportunity, intent, preparation, plan, knowledge, identity, absence of mistake, or lack of accident. In a criminal case this evidence is admissible only if the probative value of the evidence outweighs its potential for unfair prejudice.
  15. From what I recall of my course on evidence, prior bad acts are inadmissible to prove that the defendant committed the acts he’s accused of; it's considered prejudicial; but can be used to show a pattern of conduct.
  16. Let me have whatever she’s taking. Must be some heavy duty stuff.
  17. I'm an attorney and my advice is to get one, which appears to have already been done. I'm not sure why her wages couldn't be garnished but each state's law varies. Speaking as a non-lawyer, it sounds like the CU is trying to use leverage against her.
  18. I read an article where the writer thought the goal totals could approach RM’s win over Eintracht in 1959 (total of 10 goals).
  19. Both teams had scares but it’s Real v Liverpool in the final. Should be a great one.
  20. I will take Sonny Criss. PM sent.
  21. Yes, it’s amazing to be hard at work on a book like that at age. On the other hand, researching and writing a book like that probably keeps you young.

    Jazz In Paris

I never picked these up (much to my regret) and now seem hard to find.
  23. According to what I’ve read, he’s working on the 4th and final volume.
  24. A terrific article about pets and their meaning The Most Unpopular Dog in Germany
