  1. I thought as much but they have been recently hit with some copyright infringement cases as they try to go public. https://www.google.com/amp/abcnews.go.com/amp/Entertainment/spotify-hit-16-billion-copyright-infringement-lawsuit/story%3fid=52104636 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.billboard.com/amp/articles/business/7964869/spotify-mechanical-rights-legal-argument-upend-music-industry-recovery
  2. I don’t think that answers the question. If people are listening to the music or paying to listen to it, isn’t the copyright holder is losing a sale. The person who puts it on there is a licensee not the owner. I will need to look into the question.
  3. I don’t use Spotify but wonder if Spotify is legally permitted to do that without the label’s permission.
  4. I’m not sure but it may.
  5. USPS has partnerships with DHL and UPS.
  6. I was just notified by Amazon that the new delivery date is this Friday.
  7. I remember early in this thread someone asked about streaming Mosaics and I recall the answer from Michael Cuscuna as no.
  8. Sign of the times.
  9. That could be the answer as perhaps they only make enough cds to fill a set. On the other hand, they may also make extra sets because in the normal course there will be a certain amount of spoilage. When i was there I saw groups of cds marked as disc 1, disc 3, etc. for particular sets.
  10. I’m thinking it was full but wouldn’t swear to it.
  11. Thanks very much for the help.

    She does live in Texas!
  14. HG, I just re-read my post. Hope it didn’t come across as confrontational. Maybe I should have said that I don’t want to hear something if it’s not good quality as I don’t want my view of an artist like Lee Morgsn lowered as a result.
  15. Thanks for that link. I saw Harold once in concert. It was a great experience.
  16. Thanks. I will check it out.

Scott, correct. I have a lot of other things on there and want to keep it separate. Thanks for the article. The Sony one is a tad different than the one mentioned at Hoffman, plus it doesn't have Bluetooth.

Does the Pono have a bad rep. A couple of the posters at the Hoffman Forum were really getting into it about the Pono.
  19. I would like to pre-order the cd version. Amy idea who stocks it. I looked at CD Japan but didn’t see it.
  20. Season also starts on Thursday for Mets. They had a horrible spring but the pitching looked good so I guess we’ll see.
  21. I ordered mine on March 23 for $38. Perhaps Sony jacked up the price when they saw it was selling well (assuming that’s the case). I still think it’s a good deal at $50.
  22. Apologies if this has been discussed before. My iPod Classic is starting to act quirky and it may be starting to go. I was thinking about a replacement, possibly a Touch but do I really need all the extra stuff since I already have an iPhone. Over on the Steve Hoffman Board, someone mentioned a Sony Walkman NW A-45, which is compatible with iTunes. As I wear (or am supposed to wear hearing aids), the Apple products are handy because they are compatible with the aids (the aids have Bluetooth and are wireless and I can play music through them) and I'd want a player that has Bluetooth. Any thoughts or opinions. Thanks.
  23. No Room for Squares for me.
  24. Since we're discussing Selects, they also had the slipcases for many of the Selects, not just the Selects for which they had discs. Since they're flat they should be easy to ship.
  25. I play it from time to time. Underrated recording.
